 ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೧೫೧

'ಬೀಸುವ ದೊಣ್ಣೆ ತಪ್ಪಿದರೆ ಸಾವಿರ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಆಯುಸ್ಸು' ಎನ್ನುವ ಮಾತಿದೆ.

ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಆಸ್ತಿಕರು ಕಷ್ಟದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಅವಗುಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಣ ಎಂದು.

ದೈವಬಲವಿದ್ದವ ಸಾಯುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಲುತ್ತಾನೆ,

ದೈವಬಲವಿಲ್ಲದವ  ಇಲ್ಲದವ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. 

ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ  ಹೀಗೇ ಆಯಿತು. 

ರಾವಣ ತನಗೆದುರು ಬಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ವಿಭೀಷಣನ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೊದಲ ಶಕ್ತ್ಯಾಯುಧ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಿಸಿದಾಗ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಅದನ್ನು ತುಂಡರಿಸಿದನು.

ಎರಡನೇ ಬಾರಿ  ಭಾರೀ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿರುವ ಶಕ್ತ್ಯಾಯುಧವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಯೋಗಿಸಿದಾಗ 

ಮಿತ್ರ ವಿಭೀಷಣನನ್ನುಳಿಸಲು ತಾನೇ ಎದೆಯೊಡ್ಡಿ ನಿಂತ.

ಮಿತ್ರಧರ್ಮ ಪಾಲಿಸಿದ!

ಆಗ ರಾಮ- 

ಸ್ವಸ್ತ್ಯಸ್ತು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಾಯೇತಿ

ಮೋಘಾ ಭವ ಹತೋದ್ಯಮಾ||-

ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನಿಗೆ ಮಂಗಳವಾಗಲಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣಾಪಹರಣ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಲಿ- ಎಂದು ಶಕ್ತ್ಯಾಯುಧವನ್ನು  ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ. ಶಕ್ತ್ಯಾಯುಧ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನ ಎದೆಯನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ನೆಲಕ್ಕೊರಗಿಸಿತು.

ಮಿತ್ರಧರ್ಮ ಪಾಲನೆಗೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಸೂಕ್ತ ಬೆಲೆ ತೆತ್ತ ಎಂದರೆ ಅದು ತಪ್ಪು. ಸಾಯಬಹುದಾಗಿದ್ದ ವಿಭೀಷಣ ಉಳಿದ.

ಸಾಯಬೇಕಿದ್ದ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಧರೆಗುರುಳಿದ.ಸಾಯಲಿಲ್ಲ! ಮತ್ತೆ ಹನುಮನು ಅದ್ಭುತ ಸಾಹಸ ಮಾಡಿದ. ಹಿಮವತ್ಪರ್ವತಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಜೀವವುಳಿಸುವ ವಿಶಲ್ಯಕರಿಣೀ, ಸಾವರ್ಣ್ಯಕರಣೀ, ಸಂಜೀವಕರಣೀ,ಸಂಧಾನಕರಣೀ ಮಹೌಷಧಿಲತೆಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನೇ ಹೊತ್ತು ತಂದು ವೈದ್ಯ ಸುಷೇಣನ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟ!ಸುಷೇಣನ ಆರೈಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ  ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಕ್ಷಣಾರ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲಿನಂತಾದ!

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮನ ಈ ಮಾತು ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ -

ರಾಜ್ಯನಾಶಂ ವನೇವಾಸಂ

ದಣ್ಡಕೇ ಪರಿಧಾವನಮ್|

ವೈದೇಹ್ಯಾಶ್ಚ ಪರಾಮರ್ಶಂ

ರಕ್ಷೋಭಿಶ್ಚ ಸಮಾಗಮಮ್||...

•ರಾಜ್ಯನಷ್ಟ,

•ವನವಾಸ,

•ದಂಡಕಾರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಟ, 

•ಸೀತಾಪಹರಣ,

•ರಕ್ಕಸರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಗ್ರಾಮ- ಇವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಂದರಮೇಲೊಂದರಂತೆ ಬಂದವು.....ಈ ರಕ್ಕಸನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ  ನೋವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.  

 ಈ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಾಮಾಯಣದ ಪುಟ್ಟ ನೋಟವನ್ನು ಕವಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪರಿ ಅನನ್ಯ! ಅನನ್ಯ!!

ವಂದೇ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಕೋಕಿಲಮ್!

ವಂದೇ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಕೋಕಿಲಮ್.

ಇದು ಎಚ್ಚರದಪ್ಪಿದ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನನ್ನು  ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ರಾಮ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಾದಿಗಳ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯೂ ಹೌದು!

There is a saying that if you escape from the swinging cudgel, you will live for 100 years  . The theists state the following lines usually during the time of difficult circumstances that - 

Vice in Virtue. 

The one who has the grace of god get defeated where he has to die,

The one who doesn't have the grace of god dies.

The same happened even in the case of Lakshmana. 

Ravana tried out the first artillery 'Shaktyayudha ' on Vibhishana when he came infront of him but Lakshmana broke the artillery which was thrown by Ravana. When he tried out the second artillery Shaktyayudha which was very powerful on Vibhishana, Lakshmana himself stood facing the artillery to save the life of his comrade Vibhishana. 

He performed the duty of friendship  !

During the time Rama cited addressing the 'Shaktyayudha '.

' Swastyastu Lakshmanaayethi,

mogha bhava Lathodyamaa II -

Which means 

" Let Lakshmana be successful, let your attempt of taking away the life go in vain .

Shaktyayudha split the chest of Lakshmana and toppled him to the ground. 

It would be wrong if it is said that Lakshmana paid for performing the duty of friendship. 

Vibhishana was saved who could have been dead.

Lakshmana fell to the ground who was supposed to be dead. He didn't die !

Hanuman did yet another amazing adventure. 

He went to 'Himavathparvatha' and brought the whole mountain which consisted the medicinal creepers such as Vishalyakarinee, Saavarnyakaranee, Sanjeevakaranee , Sandhana Karanee which had the power of saving lives and placed them before the healer Sushena ! Getting nursed by Sushena, Lakshman got back to his normal state as before !

The words of Rama during this circumstance must be highlighted here -

Rajyanaasham Paridhaavanam !

Vaidehyaascha Paraamarsham

Rakshobhisheha Samaagamam !!

• The loss of the kingdom, 

• Exile,

• Wandering in Dandakaaranya, 

• The abduction of Seetha, 

• Battle with the monsters ,

All these were remembered one after one . 

He said that he would overcome all the pain he had gone through by slaying this monster.

The way how the poet has given the short view of Ramayana by mentioning these 4 incidents is truly matchless ! Matchless !!

The words that Rama had uttered was also a pledge that he had made before Sugreeva and others during the time he saw Lakshmana who was lying unconscious  !
