ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-9

ರಾಮಾವತಾರದ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ರಾಮನು ದಶರಥನ ಮಗನಾಗಿ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಇರಲೇ?ಅಲ್ಲ.ಅದು ಲೋಕಕಲ್ಯಾಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ.

ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಲೋಕಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದೀತೇ? ಅಂತಹ ಒಂದು ಸಂದರ್ಭ ತನ್ನಿಂದ ತಾನೇ ಒದಗಿ ಬಂತು.

ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮರ್ಷಿ ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರು ದಶರಥನನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲು ಬಂದರು.ಮಹಾನ್ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಎಂದಾದರೂ ಮಹೋದ್ದೇಶವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬರುವುದುಂಟೇ? ಇಲ್ಲ. ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ದಯಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರನ್ನು ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಭಾವನೆಯಿಂದ ದಶರಥನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಸತ್ಕರಿಸಿದನು.ಬಳಿಕ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳೇ ನನ್ನಿಂದೇನಾಗಬೇಕು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಲಿ,ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ವಿನಂತಿಸಿದನು.ಸಂತಸಗೊಂಡ ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರು-ಅಯ್ಯಾ ರಾಜ ಸಿದ್ಧಿ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿಗಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಹತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳ ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವವನಿದ್ದೇನೆ.ಲೋಕಕಂಟಕನಾದ ರಾವಣನ ಅನುಚರರಾದ ಸುಬಾಹು ಮತ್ತು ಮಾರೀಚ ಎಂಬಿಬ್ಬರು ರಾಕ್ಷಸರಿಂದ ಈ ಯಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಘ್ನ ಬರುವ ಅಪಾಯವಿದೆ.

ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರಿಂದ ಯಾಗ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮಗನಾದ ರಾಮನನ್ನು ನನ್ನೊಡನೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸು ಎಂದರು.ರಾವಣ ಸುಬಾಹು ಮಾರೀಚರ ಹೆಸರು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಹೆದರಿದ ದಶರಥನು ದೈನ್ಯದಿಂದ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇವನಿನ್ನೂ ಎಳೆಯ.ಯುದ್ಧಾನುಭವವಿಲ್ಲ.ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಆ ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ಬಗ್ಗುಬಡಿಯುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಇವನಿಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ.ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ ಎಂದನು.ತನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿಲ್ಲದ ರಾಜನ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರಿಗೆ ಕೋಪ ಬಂತು.ಇಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕು ವಂಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ತಪ್ಪುತ್ತೀಯಲ್ಲವೇ ಎಂದು ಜರೆದರು.ಆಗ ಗುರು ವಸಿಷ್ಠರು ಮಧ್ಯ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ-

ರಾಜಾ,ಹೆದರದಿರು.ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರು ಸರ್ವಸಮರ್ಥರು.

ಅವರೊಡನೆ ಇರುವ ರಾಮ ಸದಾ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತನಾಗಿರವನು.

ರಾಮನು ಎಳೆಯನೆಂದೆಣಿಸಬೇಡ.

ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರ ಯಾಗರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಮರ್ಥನಿರುವನು.ನಿಶ್ಚಿಂತೆಯಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಡು.ಇದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದಂತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಹೊಸದರ ಅನುಭವವಾದಂತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.ಅವನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಒರೆಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿ ನೋಡುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ತಾನೇ ತಾನಾಗಿ ಒದಗಿ ಬಂದಿರುವಾಗ ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳೇ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಡು, ಇದರಿಂದ ರಾಮನಿಗೂ ಒಳಿತಿದೆ-ಎಂದರು.ವಸಿಷ್ಠರ ಹಿತವಚನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ದಶರಥನು ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಾಮನನ್ನೂ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನನ್ನೂ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

Why was Rama born? Was he born only to be the son of Dhasharatha?Definitely not.

There was a purpose behind the Raamavathaara. He was born for the welfare of the world and that could not have happened if he had confined himself in the palace .There was a need for the circumstance that would lead a way to fulfill the purpose of his birth. 

One day the great veteran Brahmashri Vishwamitra came to see Dhasharatha in his palace .The great Maharshis like him do not go anywhere without any purpose. 

Dhasharatha was pleased by his arrival and welcomed him with honour and hospitality. Dhasharatha asked him the reason behind his arrival and ensured that he would do anything that Vishwamitra would say. Vishwamitra was happy to hear that and asked Dhasharatha what brought him there.

The reason was , Vishwamitra had decided to perform  'Yajna ' of 10 days for the welfare of the kingdom. He was sure that Ravana's disciples Subaahu and Maaricha would be a threat to this religious ceremony and Vishwamitra wanted this yajna to be performed without any distractions . So he came to the palace to request Dhasharatha to send Rama with him to safeguard the 'Yajna ' from being polluted by the two evils. 

But Dhasharatha's heart began to palpitate when he heard the names of Subaahu and Maaricha. He asked the forgiveness of Vishwamitra and denied his request as Rama was too young to confront the two demons. Moreover Rama had no experience of warfare. Vishwamitra did not expect this refusal from the king who was born in the clan of Ikshvaku . He was furious and rebuked the king who failed to believe in his own strengths and will power and who could not keep his promise .At the right time Guru Vasishta who was witnessing all these came forward to convince the king and told him to be brave. 

He explained the king about the greatness of Vishwamitra who was known for his efficiency in everything. Further he continued that Rama was no longer a little boy and he had enough maturity and abilities to handle the situation. He ensured the king that Rama would be safe as long as he would be with Vishwamitra .

He adviced the king to be calm and to perform the duty of a king by sending Rama with Vishwamitra. Moreover Rama would be exposed to the new world and experience new things.

Guru Vasishta opined that it was the right opportunity for Rama to exhibit his valor and capabilities which would benefit Rama in future. He considered Rama as the fortunate for  being invited by the great Brahmashri Vishwamitra himself .After hearing these words of Guru Vasishta Dhasharatha gathered  himself together and sent Rama with Vishwamitra along with Lakshmana happily.
