ಅತಿಕಾಯ ವೀರಮರಣವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದಾಗ ಭಾರವಾದ ಹೃದಯ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ಸತ್ತಾಗ ಹಗುರವಾಯಿತು!!

ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ವೀರ ಹೌದು.ಆದರೆ ದಯಾಪಾತ್ರನಲ್ಲ!

'ಅತ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಕೋಪ ಕೊತ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ' ಎಂಬ ಗಾದೆ ಮಾತಿದೆ.ರಾವಣನ ಕತೆ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ  ಆಯಿತು. ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತುವಿನ ಸಾವಿನಿಂದಾದ ದುಃಖ ಕೋಪವಾಗಿ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಸೇಡಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿತು.ಅದನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸ ಹೊರಟದ್ದು ಸೀತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ.ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ಹೊರಟ. ರಾಣೀವಾಸದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಶಿಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ಪಾಲಿಸಲು(?)ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಆಘಾತಕಾರಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ ತಿಳಿದ ಸುಪಾರ್ಶ್ವನು ರಾವಣನನ್ನು ಈ ಹೇಯ ಕೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ತಡೆಯುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದ.

ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತುವಿನ ಸಾವಿನ ಸೇಡನ್ನು ರಣರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತೀರಿಸುವ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದ.ಸೀತೆಯ ಅಂದವನ್ನು  ತೋರಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸೀತೆಯ ಆಸೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವ ಕೃತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸರಿಸಿದ. ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲಲು ನಾಳೆ ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆ ಶುಭಕರವಾದುದುದೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಸುಮುಹೂರ್ತವನ್ನೂ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ! ರಾವಣನು  ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸಿ ಅಳಿದುಳಿದ ಬೃಹತ್ ಸೇನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಣರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿ ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಲು ಸೇನಾಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ "ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿ" ಹೇಳಿದ. ದರ್ಪಿತ ರಾವಣ ಯಾವ ಹಂತಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪಿದ! ಅಬ್ಬಾ!!ಹೆಣ್ಣಿನಾಸೆಯೆ!!!

ಸೇನಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟರು.ನಾನಾ ಪ್ರಕಾರದ ಸೇನಾಸಮೂಹ,ಆಯುಧಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಣರಂಗವನ್ನು  ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದರು.ಯುದ್ಧಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಅಂಗಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನೇ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿಸಿದ ವಾನರವೀರರು ವಿವಿಧ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ರಕ್ಕಸರನ್ನು ಸಮಬಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದುರಿಸಿದರು.ಮರ ಬಂಡೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಳಸಿದರು. ರಕ್ಕಸರ ಕೈಮೇಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ರಾಮ ಧನುರ್ಧರನಾದ.

ರಾಮ ಯಾವ ಪರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ಕಸರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನೆಂದರೆ

 'ರಾಮ ಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಬಾಣಗಳ ಮಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮನೇ ಕಾಣದಾದ'! 

ರಕ್ಕಸರ ಹೆಣಗಳುರುವುದು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ರಕ್ಕಸರ ಸೇನಾಯಕರೂ ಮಹಾರಥರೂ ಬಲಿಯಾದರು.ರಾಮ ಅತ್ಯಪೂರ್ವವಾದ ಗಾಂಧರ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಯೋಗಿಸಿದನು.ಆಗ ರಕ್ಕಸರಿಗೆ 

'ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಲು ರಾಮ, 

ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಲು ರಾಮ, ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲೂ ನೋಡಲು ರಾಮ ರಾಮ ರಾಮ 'ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಬಂತು.ತಮ್ಮವರಲ್ಲೇ ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಸಂಹರಿಸತೊಡಗಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀರಾಮರೂಪಚಕ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ರಕ್ಕಸರು ಬಲಿಯಾದರು.

ಅಳಿದುಳಿದ ರಕ್ಕಸರು ಲಂಕೆಗೋಡಿದರು.ರಾಮನೇ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ

ಈ ದಿವ್ಯಾಸ್ತ್ರವಿರುವುದು ಶಿವ- ರಾಮರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ!

The heart which was heavy when Atikaaya had died, became light when Indrajith died !!

It's true that Indrajith was valiant and brave. But he doesn't deserve anyone's kindness ! 

There is a saying that wrath on mother in law , cat gets punch . Ravana was also in the same situation . Due to the death of Indrajith ,Ravana's grief turned into anger and later to a revenge. He went to take that revenge on Seetha. He went to slay her. The queens who were there in the harem followed him to follow the protocol. Supaarshwa who came to know about this, succeeded in preventing Ravana from committing such a heinous deed.

Supaarshwa gave him a suggestion of taking the revenge of Indrajith's death through slaying Rama - Lakshmana in the battlefield. He made Ravana back out from killing Seetha by pointing at the beauty of Seetha and generating the desire of obtaining Seetha again. 

He suggested Ravana that the following day was an auspicious day to win the war since it was a new moon day ! Ravana agreed to that and commanded to go to the battlefield along with the huge remaining army and to assist the chief commanders to slay Rama and Lakshmana. 

What stage Ravana had reached to ! The desire of the woman !!!

The chief commanders left for the war. The different kinds of armies entered the battlefield with weapons. The war began. The monkey warriors using their physical strength as weapons confronted the monsters with the equal force who possessed the varieties of weapons. They used trees and boulders. When Rama saw the monsters getting upper hand in the battle, he equipped himself with bow and arrows. 

Rama was slaying the monsters in such a way that he himself became invisible in the shower of arrows that he was releasing !

The monsters could see only the dead bodies were falling to the ground. The chief commanders and the legends were slayed. Rama tried out the most extraordinary artillery Gaandharvaastra. During the time the monsters faced the situation where they saw Rama here,there and everywhere. They began seeing Rama even in their own people and began to kill each other. The monsters became prey to ShreeRama' s wheel of appearance. 

The remaining monsters ran to Lanka. 

As Rama himself stated that -

'This finest artillery is possessed by only Shiva and Rama ' !
