ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ -೭೮

ಪ್ರಾಣಿಸಂಕುಲ ಸಸ್ಯಸಂಕುಲಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂತುಂಬಿರುವ ಮತಂಗವನಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಬಂದರು.ಪಂಪಾ ಸರೋವರದ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಶಬರಿಯ ರಮಣೀಯ ಆಶ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.ಇವರ ಆಗಮನದಿಂದ ಸಂತಸಗೊಂಡ ಶಬರಿ ಸುದೀರ್ಘ ಕಾಲದ ತನ್ನ ಕಾಯುವಿಕೆ ಸಾರ್ಥಕವಾಯಿತೆಂದು ಬಗೆದಳು.ಇಬ್ಬರ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಣಿದಳು.ಸತ್ಕರಿಸಿದಳು.

ಕಣ್ದಣಿಯೆ ನೋಡಿದಳು.

ಮನದಣಿಯೆ ಭಾವಿಸಿದಳು.

ಕೈದಣಿಯೆ ಸತ್ಕರಿಸಿದಳು.

ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಯೋಗ ಕ್ಷೇಮಗಳ ವಿನಿಮಯ ನಡೆಯಿತು.ಬಳಿಕ ಶಬರಿ-ನನ್ನ ಗುರುಗಳು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು;ಸೌಮಿತ್ರೀಸಹಿತನಾಗಿ ರಾಮನು ನಿನ್ನ ಆಶ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವನು.ಅವನನ್ನು ಆದರದಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಸತ್ಕರಿಸಬೇಕು.ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನ ಸಂದರ್ಶನದ ಬಳಿಕ ಅಳಿವಿಲ್ಲದ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಹೋಗುವೆ-ಎಂದು ರಾಮನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದಳು.

ಬಳಿಕ-ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಕಂದ-ಮೂಲ-ಫಲಗಳನ್ನು ಶೇಖರಿಸಿಡುತ್ತಾ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ. ನೀನು ಬಂದೆ.ಕಂಡೆ.ತಿಂದೆ.ಧನ್ಯಳಾದೆ. ನಾನಿನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಗುರುಗಳು ತೆರಳಿರುವ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಅನುಮತಿಸು.-ಎಂದು ವಿನಂತಿಸಿದಳು.ರಾಮನು ಸಂತಸದಿಂದ ಒಪ್ಪಿದನು.ನೋಡನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಯಜ್ಞ ಕುಂಡವನ್ನು ಹೊಕ್ಕು ತನ್ನ ಜೀರ್ಣ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ದಿವ್ಯ ದೇಹಧಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿದಳು.ಶಬರಿ ಧನ್ಯೆ.ರಾಮ ಧನ್ಯ.ರಾಮ ಶಬರಿಯರ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರೇಮವನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಸಹಿತ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಧನ್ಯರು.

ಗಂಗಾ ತಟದಲ್ಲಿನ ಗುಹ!

ಮತಂಗವನದಲ್ಲಿನ ಶಬರಿ!

ದಾಟಿಸಿದ ಅವನು!

ದಾಟಿದ ಇವಳು!

ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಬೇಡ!?

ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಬಳಿಕ ಪಂಪಾ ಸರೋವರದತ್ತ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು.

ಅರಣ್ಯ ಕಾಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಮಂಗಳ.

Rama and Lakshmana came to the forest Mathanga which was brimming with the multitudes of animals and plants. They went to the hermitage of Shabari which was on the bank of the lake Pampa. Shabari was pleased by their arrival who had been waiting for the arrival of Rama for a long time and she felt contented that her long wait accomplished finally. She surrendered herself to the feet of Rama and Lakshmana and offered them hospitality. 

She looked at them without blinking the eyes.

Worshipped them without being tired.

Served them with honour and hospitality without the feeling of enoughness.

They enquired about the well-beings of each other. Later Shabari told them that she was told by her Guru that Rama would come to see her along with Saumithra ( Lakshmana) and he should be treated cordially with all the honor and respect . And she was told that ,she would go to the divine immortal world after interacting with Rama. She said to Rama ,that ever since then she had been waiting by collecting bulbous roots and fruits for him.

Finally he had arrived, had eaten and she felt blessed. She requested Rama to permit her to go to the world which her Guru had gone, for which Rama too agreed happily. She entered the fire of a sacrificial ritual and left to the divine world with a new charming body by abandoning the old body. Shabari is a fortunate woman.  Rama is a fortunate man. Along with Lakshmana, we are also fortunates who have witnessed the sacred and divine love of Rama and Shabari.

          She crossed.

Later Rama and Lakshmana walked towards the lake Pampa.
