ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೭೭

"ಕಷ್ಟಗಳು ಬರತೊಡಗಿದರೆ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.ಒಂದರ ಮೇಲೊಂದು;ಅದೂ ಒಂದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಕಷ್ಟ ಎದುರಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.ಕಾಲ ಮಹಿಮೆ.ಕಾಲಪುರುಷನದೇ ಪರಮಾಧಿಕಾರ.ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೂ ಆತ ತನ್ನ ಹತೋಟಿಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವೂ ಹೊರತಲ್ಲ!!"- ರಾಮ.ದಟ್ಟಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಎದುರಾದ ಅಯೋಮುಖಿ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಿಯನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಕಬಂಧನ ಬಾಹುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಸೆರೆಯಾದರು.ಹೇಳಿ ಕೇಳಿ ಕಬಂಧ ಬಾಹು.ತಾನಿಷ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಅದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಉದ್ದಕ್ಕಾದರೂ ಬೆಳೆದೀತು.ಅಂತಹ ಬಿಡಿಸಲು ದುಸ್ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದ ಬಾಹುಬಂಧನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಾಗ ರಾಮ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು!

ದನುಪುತ್ರ ಕಬಂಧ ಸುಂದರನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ರಾಕ್ಷಸ ರೂಪ ಧರಿಸಿ ಹೆದರಿಸುವ ಆಟ ಆಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.ಸ್ಥೂಲಶಿರಸ ಎಂಬ ಋಷಿಯ ಶಾಪದಿಂದ ಈ ವಿಕಾರ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.ರಾಮನಿಂದ ನೀನು ಮೂಲ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತೀ ಎಂಬ ವರವನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದನು.ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನಿಂದ ಪಡೆದ ವರವನ್ನು ದುರುಪಯೋಗ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಇಂದ್ರನ ಪ್ರಹಾರಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗಿ ಈಗಿನ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ಪಡಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಇಂದ್ರನು ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಹುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದಾಗ ನೀನು ಶಾಪಮುಕ್ತನಾಗುತ್ತಿ ಎಂಬ ವರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.ಅಂತಹ ಕಬಂಧನ ಬಾಹುಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಕಡಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುಡಲು ಹೇಳಿದನು.ಸುಟ್ಟ ಬಳಿಕ ದಿವ್ಯ ದೇಹಧಾರಿಯಾದಾಗ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮುಂದೇನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡುವೆನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಕಬಂಧನನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿದರು.ಅವನು ದಿವ್ಯ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು-

ಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರೇ ಸಹಕರಿಸುವುದು.ಅದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿನ್ನಂತೆಯೇ ಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದ ಸುಗ್ರೀವನ ಗೆಳೆತನ ಮಾಡು.ಅವನು ಪಂಪಾ ಸರೋವರದ ಸಮೀಪದ ಋಷ್ಯಮೂಕ ಪರ್ವತದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ವರು ವಾನರ ಯೋಧರೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.ಗುಣವಂತ,ಧೀರ,ಸತ್ಯಸಂಧ.ಅವನ ಅಣ್ಣ ವಾಲಿಯಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೊಳಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಗೆಳೆತನ ಮಾಡಿ.ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ವಾನರ ಸೇನೆಯ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿಸಿ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ನಿನಗೆ ನೆರವೀಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.ಈಗಲೇ ಹೋಗಿ- ಎಂದು ಋಷ್ಯಮೂಕ ಪರ್ವತದ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು,ಮತಂಗ ಮುನಿಯ ಆಶ್ರಮದ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ  ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿ ತನ್ನ ನೆಲೆಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದನು.

ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಮತಂಗವನದತ್ತ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಾಕತೊಡಗಿದರು.

"Hardships never occur alone ; they occur simultaneously one after one with more difficulty. The greatness of Time. The entire authority is in the hand of Time. Time has hold on each and every animal and we are not an exception to this!! "- Rama ,while walking in the dense forest confronted the demon called Ayomukhi. After driving her away ,Rama and Lakshmana were caught in the arms of Kabandha. After all it was Kabandha arms. When they were imprisoned in the arms  which were impossible to untangle, Rama told Lakshmana that the arms would grow to any length to obtain the animal it liked.

Though Kabandha, the son of Dhanu, was charming and attractive, he used to play a fun game of scaring people by disguising himself as a monster. Later ,he remained as a monster with a hideous appearance  since he was cursed by the godman named  Sthoolashirasa . And he was given a boon that he would get his real appearance back by Rama. In the same way, he was also attacked by Indra for misusing the boon which was granted by the lord Brahma. During the same time, he was given a boon by Indra that he would be redeemed from his curse when Rama and Lakshmana cut his arms off.

When Rama and Lakshmana cut the arms off of Kabandha, he recounted them his story and asked them to burn him. Further he told them that after being burnt, he would get the enchanting appearance and after emerging as the attractive man, he would guide them about what they had to do next. Rama and Lakshmana burnt Kabandha.  After getting incarnated with a new enchanting appearance, he acted according to the promise he had given to them .He stated that : " The people who are in difficulties help the people who are in difficulties ". And he told Rama to make friendship with Sugreeva, who was also in difficulty just like Rama. Kabandha said that Sugreeva along with four monkeys lived in the Rushyamooka hill which was nearest to the lake Pampa. Further he said that, Sugreeva was virtuous, valiant, honest and truthful and his elder brother Vaali had done injustice to him. Kabandha told Rama and Lakshmana to go and make friendship with Sugreeva with agni as witness .Kabandha assured them that Sugreeva would definitely find Seetha through his army of monkeys and would help Rama in getting Seetha back. He asked them to go immediately . He showed them the way to Rushyamooka hill and the hermitage of the sage Mathanga. Then he went towards his dwelling by wishing them all the luck. 

Rama and Lakshmana walked towards the forest Mathanga.
