ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೭೪

"ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ! ನೀನು ಸೀತೆಯೊಬ್ಬಳನ್ನೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಂದಿರುವುದು ಅತಿನಿಂದ್ಯವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.ಸೌಮ್ಯನೇ! ನೀನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವಳು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕುಶಲಿನಿಯಾಗಿರುವಳೇ?ರಾಕ್ಷಸರು ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಭಕ್ಷಿಸಿರಬಹುದು ಅಥವಾ ಅಪಹರಿಸಿರಬಹುವುದು.ಅಶುಭ ಸೂಚಕವಾದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತಗಳೂ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿವೆ..." ಮಾರೀಚನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವಾಗ ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಸಂಧಿಸಿದ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳು! ಪ್ರಾಯಶಃ ರಾಮನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನನ್ನು ಕಟುವಾಗಿ ನಿಂದಿಸಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ರಾಮಾಯಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೊಂದೇ! ಮತ್ತೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುತ್ತಾ-

ಮಾಯದ ಜಿಂಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಂದವನು ಮಾರೀಚ ರಾಕ್ಷಸ!ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವಾಗ ನನ್ನಂತೆಯೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೂಗಿ ಕರೆದಾಗಲೇ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿತ್ತು-ಸೀತೆಗೆ ಅಪಾಯವಿದೆಯೆಂದು!- ಎಂದು ರಾಮನು ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ದೈನ್ಯವೇ ಮೂರ್ತಿವೆತ್ತಂತಿದ್ದ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಏನು ತಾನೇ ಹೇಳಿಯಾನು! ನಡೆದ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು, ಸೀತೆಯ ಬಾಯಿಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಚಾಚೂ ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.ಆಗ ರಾಮನು ಹೆಂಗಸರು ಸಿಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರೆಂದು ನೀನು ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದದ್ದು ತಪ್ಪು ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾ ತಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸಿದನು.

ಆಶ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣದಾದಾಗ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಶೋಕಿಸಿದರು.ರಾಮನು ಬಿಕ್ಕಿ ಬಿಕ್ಕಿ ಅಳುತ್ತಾ ಹುಚ್ಚನಂತಾದನು.ಅವನ ಮನದ ಮೂಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿದ್ದ ಕೈಕೇಯಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನವೂ ಹೊರಬಿತ್ತು! ಮರ ಗಿಡ ಬಳ್ಳಿ ,ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀತೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಳುವಷ್ಟು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿಮಿತವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡನು.ತನ್ನಿಂದಾದ ಮಹಾಪ್ರಮಾದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೊಂದು ಬೆಂದ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನಿಗೆ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎರಡು ಆಘಾತಗಳು!

'ಸೌಮಿತ್ರೇ! ನೇಹ ಪಶ್ಯಾಮಿ ವೈದೇಹೀಂ..' ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ, ವೈದೇಹಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ!! ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾ ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಹುಡುಕಿದರು.ಸೀತೆ ಕಾಣೆ!!

ಒಂದು ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನನ್ನು ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಲು ಹೇಳಿ ನಾನು ವನವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಅರಣ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಎನ್ನುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಪುರಾವೆ!

ರಾಮನು ಮೃಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 'ಕ್ವ ಸೀತಾ!' ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವು ಆಗಸದತ್ತ ನೋಡಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಮುಖಮಾಡಿ ನಿಂತವು.ಆಗ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ನಾವು ನೈರುತ್ಯ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಯಣಿಸಿ ಹುಡುಕುವ.ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀತೆಯು ಸಿಗಬಹುದು-ಎಂದಾಗ ರಾಮನು ಒಪ್ಪಿದನು.

" Lakshmana! it is extremely objectionable that you have come here by leaving Seetha alone there. Gentle Lakshmana! Will she be fine there since you have come here? Either she might have been consumed or abducted by the monsters. The bad omens are appearing to me..."

These are the words said by Rama during the time he met Lakshmana while coming back after slaying Maaricha! Probably this is the only context in Raamayana where Rama blamed Lakshmana with harsh words! Further Rama said that the deer of delusion which had come there ,was the demon Maaricha! and Rama had predicted that Seetha would be in danger when Maaricha called out the names of Seetha and Lakshmana by mimicking Rama before his death. What could be said by Lakshmana who appeared as if the incarnation of humbleness!!? He narrated the incident that had happened to Rama and reported each and every word uttered by Seetha.  After hearing that, Rama blamed Lakshmana for coming to the place where Rama was by leaving her alone there and blamed him for being angry on her harsh words which were uttered in anger.

When they did not find Seetha in the hermitage both Rama and Lakshmana lamented and lost hearts. Rama could not control his grief and wept irrationally. His resentment about Kaikeyee which was there in the corner of his soul also tumbled out! He became mentally disturbed that he started asking about Seetha with trees,plants, creepers, animals and birds. Lakshmana ,who was heart broken and mourning for the blunder which was done by him, had to face double shocks one after one!

' Saumitre ! Neha Pashyaami Vaideheem..'

which means, 

Lakshmana! Vaidehi is not seen anywhere!!

They searched for her everywhere. 

Seetha was missing!!

At one point of time, Rama told Lakshmana to return to Ayodhya and he would remain there itself as an inhabitant of the forest forever. 

Here is a proof to say that Lakshmana knew  A - Z about the forest!!

When Rama asked the animals ' Kwa Seetha !', the animals looked at the sky and then stood facing the South. By observing that, Lakshmana said to Rama that they would take journey towards the South - West ( Nairutya) to search Seetha and said that Seetha might be found there for which Rama too agreed.
