ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೫೯

ವಿರಾಧನ ಸಲಹೆಯಂತೆ ರಾಮ ಸೀತೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಶರಭಂಗ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲು ಅವರ ಆಶ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.ಅವರು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳುವ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.ರಾಮನು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆಂಬುದನ್ನರಿತು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಎಂಬ ಇರಾದೆಯಿಂದ ರಾಮಾಗಮನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶರಭಂಗರು ತಾನು ಉಗ್ರತಪಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಗೆದ್ದ ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀನೇ ಪ್ರತಿಗ್ರಹಿಸು ಎಂದಾಗ ರಾಮನು- ಮಹಾಮುನಿಗಳೇ,ತಾವು ಹೇಳಿದ ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನೇ ಸ್ವಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಿಂದ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ-ಎಂಬ ರಾಮನ ಮಾತು ಅವನ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಡಿದ ಕೈಗನ್ನಡಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.ಶರಭಂಗರು ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಅರಣ್ಯ ವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಸುತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಲು ಹೇಳಿದರು.ಬಳಿಕ ರಾಮನೆದುರೇ ನಾವು ತೊಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡ ಉಡುಪನ್ನು ಕಳಚಿ ಹೊಸ ಉಡುಪನ್ನು ಧರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅಗ್ನಿಕುಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೃಶವಾದ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿ ಹೊಸ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿದರು.

ಅಂದು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಉಳಿದುಕೊಂಡ ರಾಮನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೀತಿಯ ಮುನಿಗಳು (ನೀರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಕುಡಿದು, ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೇವಿಸಿ, ತರಗೆಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ತಿಂದು.....)ಬಂದು ರಾಕ್ಷಸರ ಉಪಟಳದಿಂದ ಕಾಪಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಿನ್ನವಿಸಿದರು.ರಾಮನು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಅಭಯವನ್ನಿತ್ತು ಶರಭಂಗರ ಸಲಹೆಯಂತೆ ಸುತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣರ ಆಶ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸೀತೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಮುನಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ  ಪಯಣಿಸಿದನು.

ಸುತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣರು ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಆತಿಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಉಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಕೋರಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ರಾಮನು ಸಂತಸದಿಂದ ಒಪ್ಪಿದನು.ಮರುದಿನ ಸುತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣರ ಸಲಹೆಯಂತೆ ದಂಡಕಾರಣ್ಯದ ಋಷಿಮಂಡಲದ ಋಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂದರ್ಶಿಸಲು ರಾಮನು ಹೊರಟನು.

Rama, Seetha and Lakshmana went to see Sharabhanga Maharshi in his hermitage as advised by Viraadha. Sharabhanga was in the preparation of his journey to the heaven. But, when he came to know that Rama was there ,he awaited his arrival with an intention of meeting him. During the time of their meeting  Sharabhanga told Rama to rule all the worlds which were won by Sharabhanga through his ardent penance. For which Rama replied with respect that he himself would win all the worlds mentioned by the Maharshi, with his own efforts. These words of Rama mirrored his self - esteem. Sharabhanga advised Rama to meet Sutheekshana to seek guidance for their further journey.  Later Sharabhanga, incarnated himself in the fire in front of Rama by burning his thin body in fire as if wearing the new clothes by taking off the used dress. And left for the world of Brahma. 

The various kinds of sages and saints who were residing there in the hermitage ( who lived by only consuming water ,air and withered leaves) requested and prayed to Rama who stayed there for one night to protect them from the harassment of monsters. Rama assured them of safety and continued his journey towards the hermitage of Sutheekshana as per the advise of Sharabhanga along with Seetha, Lakshmana and other sages.

Sutheekshana welcomed Rama cordially. Rama agreed to stay there in the hermitage happily when Sutheekshana requested him to accept his hospitality.  The following day, as per the guidance of Sutheekshana Rama went to interact with the sages of council of sages who were there in the Dandakaaranya.
