ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೫೦

ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಿ ಸೀತೆ, ಸೀತೆಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಿ ರಾಮ, ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ- ಹೀಗೆ ಚಿತ್ರಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಆನಂದದಿಂದ ವಿಹರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯ ವೈಭವವನ್ನು ಮರೆಸುವ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಸಹಜ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಅಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ನೋವನ್ನು ಮರೆಸುವ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ ಬದುಕು ಅಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.ರಾಮನ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳುವುದಾದರೆ- "ನಮಗೀ ಚಿತ್ರಕೂಟವೇ ಸಾಕು.ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆ ಬೇಡ!"ಎಂಬಂತಹ ಬದುಕು ಅಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.

ಹೀಗಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಅಸಹಜ ಓಡಾಟ ಕೂಗುವಿಕೆ ಅನುಭವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂತು.ರಾಮನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದೇನೆಂದು ಗಮನಿಸಲು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಆಶ್ರಮದ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಾಲವೃಕ್ಷ ವೊಂದನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ನೋಡಲು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಚತುರಂಗ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು.

ಸಪರಿವಾರ ಭರತಾಗಮನವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ರಾಮನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸಿ ನೋಡಲು ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅದು ಅಯೋಧ್ಯಾ ಸೇನೆಯೆಂಬುದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಯಿತು.ಭರತನು ತಮ್ಮ ನಾಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದನೆಂದೇ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಭಾವಿಸಿದನು.ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ತತ್ಕ್ಷಣ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನಾರಿಸಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಲು ರಾಮನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿ ತಾನೂ ಸರ್ವಸನ್ನದ್ಧನಾದನು.ಆದರೆ ರಾಮನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನ ಈ ಅನಿಸಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆದು ಭರತನು ಅಂತಹವನಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ತಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸಿ- ಒಂದೊಮ್ಮೆ ಭರತನು ತಮ್ಮ ನಾಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದರೂ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಲಾರೆ.ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದಾಸೆಯಿಂದ ಪಿತೃವಾಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲಾರೆ.ಅಧರ್ಮದಿಂದ ಲಭಿಸಬಹುದಾದ ಇಂದ್ರಪದವಿಯೂ ನನಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ನಡೆಯಿಂದ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡ ಭರತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದು ಪಟ್ಟಗಟ್ಟುವ ಇಂಗಿತದಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಸೇನೆಯೊಡಗೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ- ಎಂದು ರಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಅಣ್ಣನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನಾಚಿ ನೀರಾದನು.

ಇತ್ತ ಚಿತ್ರಕೂಟದ ತಪ್ಪಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮಂದಾಕಿನಿ ನದಿಯ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭರತನು ರಾಮನಿರಬಹುದಾದ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿರುವಿಕೆಯ ಸುಳಿವಾದ ಹೊಗೆಯು ಕಂಡಿತು.

( ಮಾನವನಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಗೆ-ಹಗೆ ಎರಡೂ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ.ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?)

Rama, being favourable to Seetha, Seetha being favourable to Rama and Lakshmana being favourable to Rama and Seetha ,lived happily by enjoying the beauty of Chitra Koota. The beauty of nature surpassed the splendor of Ayodhya.  They had a peaceful life in the forest which took away all the sorrows that they suffered in Ayodhya. Rama was so enchanted by the beauty of nature that he said that he did not want Ayodhya ,Chitra Koota was enough for him.

While enjoying the beauty of nature, they heard and saw the unusual cry and behavior of the animals in the forest. Rama asked Lakshmana to see what was happening in the forest. Lakshmana climbed a tree 'Saala Vruksha' which was near the hermitage to get a clear vista . He saw a huge army force marching towards the hermitage. 

The arrival of Bharatha along with entourage. 

Lakshmana made out and confirmed Rama that it was the army of Ayodhya when Lakshmana was told to observe that closely. But Lakshmana assumed that Bharatha had come there to anhilate them. Lakshmana put out the burning fire and got ready for the battle by equipping himself and told Rama to equip himself for the battle.  But Rama knew what Bharatha was and refused to get ready for the battle.  He convinced Lakshmana by explaining the nature of Bharatha.  Rama firmly said that even if Bharatha had come to wage war against them, he would not kill him for the greed of the throne and return to Ayodhya.  Further he said that he would never go against the will of his father.  He told Lakshmana that he would never accept even the position of  Indra which would be gained through the path of unrighteousness. Rama had a clear knowledge why Bharatha had come there. He opined that Bharatha had come there by being angry on his mother .He had come there along with his entourage with a hope of taking Rama back to Ayodhya and coronating him. Lakshmana felt ashamed of himself when he heard the words of his brother. 

On the other hand Bharatha was searching for the way to reach Rama, on the shore of Mandaakini river. At the same time Bharatha saw a smoke which suggested him the existence of humans. 

Where there is  man ,there is fire and hostility!!.
