ಹತಾಶ ಸೀತೆ!

ತ್ರಿಜಟೆಯ ಕನಸು ಕೇಳಿ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಆಶಾವಾದಿಯಾದವಳು ಒಮ್ಮಿಂದೊಮ್ಮೆಲೆ ಹತಾಶಳಾದಳು.ಧರ್ಮಾಚರಣೆ, ಪಾತಿವ್ರತ್ಯ ಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿಷ್ಫಲವೇ?ರಾಮನು ವನವಾಸ ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಬೇರೆ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಹಾಯಾಗಿರುವನು,ನನಗೆ ಅವನ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಮತ್ತೇನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ!ವಿನಾಶ ಹೊಂದುವುದೇ ಮೇಲು!..ರಾವಣನ ಕ್ರೂರ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು, ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಗಡುವನ್ನು ನೆನಸಿದಾಗ ಸೀತೆಗೆ ಇಂತಹ ಭಾವನೆಗಳು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.ಇನ್ನೇನು ತಲೆಗೂದಲನ್ನೇ ಉರುಳಾಗಿಸಿ ಸಾಯುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹನುಮನಿದ್ದ ಮರದಡಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದರ ರೆಂಬೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಕೊಂಡಾಗ ರಾಮಾಗಮನದ ಶುಭ ಶಕುನಗಳು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವು-

.ಎಡಗಣ್ಣು ಅದುರತೊಡಗಿತು

.ಎಡಭುಜವು ಅದುರಿತು

.ಎಡತೊಡೆಯೂ ಅದುರಿತು

ಶಕುನಗಳನ್ನು ಸೀತೆ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದಳು.

ಮನದ ದುಗುಡ ಶಾಂತವಾಯಿತು.

ಧೈರ್ಯ ಮನೆಮಾಡಿತು.

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಘಟನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹನುಮ.ಕಳೆದ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀತೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಿರಬಹುದೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ಕಂಡ ಹನುಮ ಇನ್ನು ಸೀತಾಮಾತೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾತಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು,ಸಂತೈಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದನು.ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ -

ಹೇಗೆ? 

ರಾಮ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಕೆಡದಂತೆ ಮಾತಾಡುವುದೆಂತು?

ಯಾವ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ? 

ಅವಳು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಾರುವೇಷದ ರಾವಣನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ರಂಪಾಟ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ?

ಆಗ ರಾವಣ ಸೇನಾ ಸಹಿತ ಬಂದರೆ? 

ಪರಿಹಾರ ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ!

ರಾಮ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿಷ್ಫಲವಾಗುವುದುಂಟೇ?ಅದೂ ಅತುಲಿತ ಬಲಶಾಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತ ಹನುಮಂತನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ!!?

ರಾಮ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ ಹಾಡಿ ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಾನಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿ 'ದಶರಥನಿಂದ ತೊಡಗಿ ಆ ಕ್ಷಣದ ವರೆಗಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಬರುಂತಹ 'ಕೀರ್ತನೆ'ಯನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿ ಹಾಡಿದನು.

ಸೀತೆ ಶಿಂಶುಪಾ ವೃಕ್ಷದ ಮೇಲ್ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ! ತೇಜೋಮಯನಾದ ಕಪಿ! ವಾಯುಪುತ್ರ ಹನುಮ!

ಒಮ್ಮೆಲೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ರಾಮದೂತನೆಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ! ಇದು ಕನಸೇ?!ಎಂದೂ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಳು.ಕನಸಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದಳು.ಇದು ನನಸಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಬೃಹಸ್ಪತಿ, ಸ್ವಯಂಭೂ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ, ಯಜ್ಞೇಶ್ವರನೇ ಮೊದಲಾದ ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದಳು.

Despaird Seetha !

She became an optimist after hearing about the dream of Trijata but became a pessimist instantly.  She asked if there was no value for being a chaste woman and following the righteousness. Seetha became so desperate that negative thoughts occupied her mind. She thought that Rama might return to Ayodhya after completing the exile and live happily after marrying another woman. And she painfully said that there was nothing in her life except his love ! She thought that it would be better to die !... Whenever she remembered the harsh words of Ravana and the 2 months of time he had given to her, she felt depressed and she was getting hit by the negative feelings and thoughts. When she was about to hang herself with her hair to the tree where Hanuman was sitting ,the auspicious omens of Rama's arrival appeared -

• The left eye began throbbing.

• The left shoulder shivered. 

• The left thigh shivered. 

Seetha sensed the omens. 

Her mind and soul became free from anguish. 

Courage resided in her soul.

Hanuman was the witness for all the incident that happened in Ashoka Vana so far. Hanuman who had witnessed the life that Seetha might have lived in those 12 months, decided to speak and console Seetha. But the question was  - How ?

How to get the work done without spoiling the deed of Rama?

What if Ravana arrives with his army while speaking to Seetha ?

The solutions were not found easily !

Will the deed of Rama be fruitless? That too by a wise , an incomparable and a mighty Hanuman  !!?

He decided to sing ' Rama Keerthana ' or the eulogy. He composed and sang an eulogy which included all the significant events that had happened so far from Dasharatha till the moment Hanuman was singing. 

Seetha looked at the top of the Shimshupaa tree when she heard the voice ! A monkey with brilliance !

The son of Vaayu , Hanuman !

She didn't accept him as a messenger of Rama immediately ! She introspected herself that if it was a dream. Later she realized it was not a dream. She wished it to be true and prayed to the gods Bruhaspathi, Swayambhoo Brahma and Yajneshwara.
