ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೨೬

'ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಸ್ಥಿರವಲ್ಲ' ದಶರಥನ ಈ ಮಾತು ನಿಜವಾಗಲು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಮಯ ಹಿಡಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಕೈಕೇಯಿಯ ದಾಸಿ- ಸಖಿಯಾದ ಮಂಥರೆಗೆ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ ಕಂಡು ಅಚ್ಚರಿ ಆಯಿತು.ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿದು ಆಘಾತವೂ ಆಯಿತು.ತನ್ನ ಆಘಾತಕ್ಕೆ ನಿರಾಸೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು-

. ಕೈಕೇಯಿಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸ್ಥಾನ ತಪ್ಪಿದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವವೂ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ

. ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟವೆಂದರೆ ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆಗೆ ರಾಜಮಾತೆಯ ಪಟ್ಟ!

ಕೈಕೈಯಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ದಶರಥನ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ

.ಭರತನು ಮೂಲೆಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ತಾನೂ ಇತರ ದಾಸಿಯರೂ ಕೈಕೇಯಿಯೂ ಅನಾದರಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ

.ಭರತನು ರಾಮನ ದಾಸನಾಗಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ

.ರಾಮನ ಬಳಿಕ ಮತ್ತೆ ಯಾವ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೂ ಭರತನು ರಾಜನಾಗಲಾರನು.ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ರಾಮನು ಬಳಿಕ ರಾಮನ ಹಿರಿಮಗನೇ ಉತ್ತರಾಧಿಕಾರಿ

. ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟವೆಂದರೆ ಭರತನು ವಿನಾಶ

. ತನ್ನ ಚೆಲುವಿನಿಂದ ದಶರಥನ ಮನಗೆದ್ದು ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಪದೇಪದೇ ಅವಮಾನಿಸಿದ್ದುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆ ಸೇಡು ತೀರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ- ಸವತಿ ಮಾತ್ಸರ್ಯ....

ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ದಾಸಿ ಮಂಥರೆ ಕೈಕೇಯಿಯ ರಾಮನ ಪರವಾಗಿರುವ ಮನವನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರೂ ಕೈಕೇಯಿ ಅಚಲಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.

ಆದರೂ...ಪದೇ ಪದೇ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ಕೈಕೇಯಿಯ ಮನ ಕದಡಿತು.ದಶರಥನ ಮಾತು ನಿಜವಾಯಿತು.ದಾಸಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮನದ ಮಂಥರೆಯ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕೈಕೇಯಿ ಬಲಿಯಾದಳು.ಮಂಥರೆಯೇ ಉಪಾಯವನ್ನೂ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದಳು. ಶಂಬರಾಸುರನೊಡನೆ ನಡೆದ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಕೇಯಿಯ ಸಮಯಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ- ಜಾಣ್ಮೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿ ದಶರಥ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಎರಡು ವರಗಳನ್ನೇ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.

ಭರತನಿಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟ

ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ವನವಾಸ- ಈ ಎರಡು ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಕೈಕೇಯಿ ಅಂತ:ಪುರದ ಕೋಪಗೃಹವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿದಳು.

ಯಾರನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡಬೇಕೋ ಅಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟರೇ ಚೆನ್ನ,ಹಿತ!

The statement of Dhasharatha ' The mind of a man is not firm ' proved true in a very short time. Manthare the maid of Kaikeyee was wondered by the unexpected excitement in Ayodhya. The news of Rama's coronation gave her a hard blow as she never wanted to see Rama on the throne. What could be the reason for her dissatisfaction? It was all about her existence . Her evil thoughts went on as follows:

• Manthare would no longer have any existence in Ayodhya if Kaikeyee loses her royal authority. 

• Kausalya would get the authority and be treated as the Raaja matha (king's mother) if Rama would ascend the throne and the love and affection of Dhasharatha towards Kaikeyee would wane.

• Bharatha would be cornered. Manthare and other maids of Kaikeyee would be ignored in the palace.

• Bharatha would be the servant of Rama .

• Bharatha would never ascend the throne,  because after Rama the elder son of Rama would be the successor. 

• The coronation of Rama would lead to the destruction of Bharatha. 

• Possibilities of Kausalya taking revenge on Kaikeyee for humiliating her often by impressing Dhasharatha with her beauty. In other words jealous between the co-wives. 

Manthare poured all these evil thoughts into the minds of Kaikeyee which was crystal clear earlier. Moreover she was fond of Rama . But her mind was stired up when Manthare Kept on pouring the wicked thoughts into her mind. Her mind no longer remained the same as earlier which proved the statement of Dhasharatha true. Kaikeyee became the victim of the wickedness of cunning Manthare. Manthare succeeded in sowing the seed of venom in the mind of Kaikeyee. 

She further adviced Kaikeyee to trap Dhasharatha by using the boons which was granted by Dhasharatha to her.

During the time of battle with Shambhaasura ,Kaikeyee had shown her sense of time and intelligence which enchanted Dhasharatha. Being impressed by her, Dhasharatha granted her two boons. So these were the boons that Manthare was talking about.  Kaikeyee did as Manthare said and went to Dhasharatha. She demanded Dhasharatha for two things.

First one was the coronation of Bharatha and the second was exile of Rama. Later isolated herself in anger .

This is why people must be treated according to their worth.
