ನರಾಂತಕ,ದೇವಾಂತಕ, ತ್ರಿಶಿರಸ, ಅತಿಕಾಯ...

ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಣಹೊಂದಿದ ಸುದ್ದಿ ರಾವಣನನ್ನು ದುಃಖಕ್ಕೆ ದೂಡಿತು.ಅವನು ಮುಂದುಗಾಣದಾದನು.ಆಗ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಿಯಪುತ್ರ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿ ಬಂದು- ವಾಮನನು ತ್ರಿವಿಕ್ರಮನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಾಹಸ ತೋರಿದಂತೆ ನಾನಿಂದು ವಾನರರ ಪಡೆಯನ್ನು  ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರ ಸಹಿತ ಧ್ವಂಸ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ಕಾಣುವಿಯಂತೆ- ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ತಂದೆಯ/ರಾವಣೇಶ್ವರನ ಅನುಜ್ಞೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಮರಾಂಗಣಕ್ಕೆ ಭಾರೀ ಸೇನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.ಮಹಾತೇಜಸ್ವಿ, ಅಸೀಮ ಸಾಹಸಿ,ಮೇಲಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಸ್ತ್ರ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಳಸುವ ಕುಶಲತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ವೀರ- ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು.

 ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು  ರಣರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಜ್ಞ ಕುಂಡದ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.  ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ರಾಕ್ಷಸರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿ ಹೋಮಿಸ ತೊಡಗಿದನು. ಕರಿಮೇಕೆಯ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬಲಿಗೊಟ್ಟನು.ಅಗ್ನಿಯೇ ಸ್ವತ: ಬಂದು  ಹವಿಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದನು.ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅಭಿಮಂತ್ರಿಸಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದನು.

ಸಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾನರವೀರರ ಸಂಹಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.

ನೇರ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾನರವೀರರು, ವಾನರರ ಸೇನಾನಿಗಳು ದಂಡಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ವೀರರ ಅಸುಗಳಳಿದವು.

ಮಾಯಾ ಯುದ್ಧ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ.ವಾನರ ಸೇನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿ  ಅದೃಶ್ಯನಾಗಿ ವಾನರರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲ ತೊಡಗಿದ. ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೂ ಬಾಣಗಳ ಸುರಿಮಳೆ ಗೈದ!

ಕಾಣದವನ ಕಾಣುವ ಸಂಹಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯ!

ಚಿಂತಿತ ರಾಮನು  ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ-ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ಖಂಡಿಸಲಾರದ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.ನಾವು ನಿರುತ್ತರರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.ಸಂಯಮ ಕಳಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಸಹಿಸುವ.

ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಿದ ಅವನು ವಿಜಯಿಯಾಗಿ ಲಂಕೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವನು-ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತುವಿನ ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಗಾಯವಡೆದು ಮೂರ್ಛಿತರಾದರು.

ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜಯಿಯಾದ ಸಂತಸದ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ತಂದೆಗೆ ಅರುಹಿದನು.ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲೂ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತುವಿಗೆ ಜಯವಾಗಲಿ ಎಂಬ ಜಯಘೋಷ!!

The death tidings of Naraanthaka, Devaanthaka, Trishirasa , Athikaaya pushed Ravana into grief and sorrow. He became helpless without being able to predict the next step. During the time his dearest son Indrajithu came to his father and said that how Vamana exhibited his valor by being Trivikrama in the same way, Ravana would see in his own eyes him annihilating the army of the apes along with Rama and Lakshmana . After assuring Ravana the death of Rama, Lakshmana and their army , Indrajithu went to the battlefield with a huge army with the command of Ravana. The valiant Indrajithu was a radiant man, the great adventurous  moreover the one who possessed many artilleries and the skill of using all those artilleries efficiently .

Indrajithu established a pot for the religious sacrifice in the battlefield. He appointed the monsters around to safeguard that. He began the ritual by chanting hymns. He offered the head of a black goat as a prey to the ritual. Agni himself appeared and accepted the offering  or Havissu. Indrajithu worshipped all the artilleries by praising them. He began the work of annihilating the apes in the right time. 

In the face to face battle many monkey warriors were thrashed. The countless warriors died. Then he began 'Maaya Yudha' which means fighting through magic or by creating illusion . He began to kill the monkeys by entering the monkey troupe by being invisible. When he saw Rama and Lakshmana, he began showering the arrows upon them !

The visible work of the annihilation of the one who was invisible !

The worried Rama told Lakshmana that Indrajithu was attacking without being attacked by depending upon 'Brahmaastra '. He said that they became helpless. He told Lakshmana that they had to tolerate him without losing patience. 

The time when they said that he would return to Lanka by defeating them , both Rama and Lakshmana fell unconscious being hit by the arrows of Indrajithu. 

Indrajithu sent the news of being a conqueror in the war to his father. The proclamation of Indrajithu's victory everywhere !
