ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ -೧೯೮

 ರಾಮಕತೆಯನ್ನು ರಾಮ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದ!

ರಾಮನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಾದಿ ವಾನರರು,

ವಿಭೀಷಣಾದಿ ರಾಕ್ಷಸರು, ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳು,

ಮಹಾಜನರು,

ಜನಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರು....!

ತಂದೆಯ ಕತೆಯನ್ನು ತಂದೆಗೇ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹಾಡಿ ಹೇಳುವುದು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಉಂಟೇ!?!

ಕುಶೀ-ಲವರು ಸೀತೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು  ರಾಮ ತಿಳಿದ. ಸುಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ನೀವೀಗಲೇ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ- ಸೀತೆಯು ಶುದ್ಧ ಚಾರಿತ್ರ್ಯಳಾಗಿರುವುದಾದರೆ,

ನಿಷ್ಕಳಂಕಿನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ,

ಅವಳು ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳಾದ ತಮ್ಮ ಅನುಮತಿ ಪಡೆದು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಈ ಜನಸಮುದಾಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನ ಪಾವಿತ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣೀಕರಿಸಲಿ.ನಾಳೆಯ ದಿನ ಪ್ರಾತ:ಕಾಲವೇ ಜಾನಕಿಯು ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಕಳಂಕವನ್ನು ದೂರಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಸಭಾಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ  ತನ್ನ ಪಾವಿತ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣೀಕರಿಸಲಿ- ಎಂದು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಎಂದನು. ಹಾಗೇ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಮನದಿಂಗಿತವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಎಂದು ದೂತರಿಗೆ ರಾಮ ಹೇಳಿದ. 

ದೂತರು ರಾಮನಿಚ್ಛೆಯಂತೆ ನಡೆದರು.ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳು-ರಾಜಭಟರೇ,

ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಂಗಳವಾಗಲಿ. ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ಹೇಗೆ ಹೇಳಿರುವನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಡೆಯಲಿ.

ರಾಮ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಸೀತೆಯು ನಡೆಯುವಳು.

ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಿಗೆ ಪತಿಯೇ ದೇವರು- ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಹೇಳಿದರು.ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ರಾಮ ಸಂತಸದಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರೆದಿದ್ದ ಋಷಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಾಜರನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು- ಸೀತೆಯ ಶಪಥವನ್ನು  ಕೇಳಬಯಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯ-ಪರಿವಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ  ರಾಜಸಭೆಗೆ ನಾಳೆ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವಕ್ಕೆ ಬನ್ನಿ -ಎಂದು  ಕರೆಯಿತ್ತನು.

ಆ ಇರುಳು ಸೀತೆಯ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಕೊನೆಯ ಇರುಳು ಎಂದು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿತ್ತು?

Rama had been listening to 'Ramakatha' the story of Rama !

Along with Rama, Sugreeva and other monkeys, Vibhishana and other monsters, Maharshis, the great subjects, the common people...!

Children are narrating the story of their father to the father himself through the song. Can something like this be heard anywhere in the world !?!

Rama learnt that Kushee - Lava were the children of Seetha. By calling the cultured messengers, Rama says to them to go to Valmiki Maharshi immediately and asks them to convey to Valmiki that" if it is true that Seetha is purely a chaste woman, if she is unblemished ,then let her come here by taking the consent of Valmiki Maharshi infront of this gathering. Let her come here tomorrow morning itself and prove her chastity in front of the gathering by discarding the blame which is on her ". In this way Rama asked the messengers to convey his words to Valmiki and asked them to inform him about the intention of Valmiki Maharshi once they returned to him.

The messengers acted according to the wish of Rama. Valmiki says addressing the minister - " let you be prosperous. Let it happen the way how ShreeRama has said. Seetha too will act according to the words of Rama. Because the husband himself is the God to the women ". Valmiki Maharshi asked them to convey the same to Rama. Being happy, Rama who heard the message says addressing the sages and the kings who gathered there that - " All those who wish to hear the pledge of Seetha, come to the royal assembly which is going to take place  tomorrow morning along with your entourage of pupils ". In this way Rama offered everyone the invitation to witness the pledge which would be taken by Seetha.

Who knew that, the night was the last night on the earth for Seetha ?
