 ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯನಮ:

ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ -೧೯೭

•ಕುಶ-ಲವರಿಂದ ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಗಾಯನ!

•ಅಶ್ವಮೇಧ ಯಾಗದ ಯಜ್ಞ ಮಂಟಪದ ಸಮೀಪ! •ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನೆದುರು.

•ಯಜ್ಞಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳೇ ಮೊದಲಾದ ವಿದ್ವಜ್ಜನರ,ಹಿರಿಯರ ಸಾನ್ನಿಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ!! 

•ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಕ್ಕೆಂದೇ ರಾಮನು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದ ವೇದವಿದರ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಪ್ರಿಯರ,

ಕಲಾವಿದರ,ಕಲಾರಸಿಕರ,

ಸಹೃದಯಿಗಳ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ!!

 ಯಜ್ಞಮಂಟಪದ ಸಮೀಪದ ಸಭಾಮಂಟಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತ ಬಾಲಕರು ರಾಮಕಥಾಸುಧಾರಸವನ್ನು ರಾಮಾಯಣದ ರಸವನ್ನು ಹರಿಸಿದರು.

ಕೇಳುಗರು ಕಿವಿದಣಿಯೆ ಕೇಳಿದರು.

ನೋಡುಗರು ಕಣ್ದಣಿಯೆ ನೋಡಿದರು.

ಹಾಡುವವರು ದಣಿಯದೆ ತಣಿಯದೆ ಗುನುಗುಟ್ಟಿದರು.

ಸ್ವತಃ ರಾಮನೇ ರಾಮರಸಾಯನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿದ!

"ಉಭೌ ರಾಮಸ್ಯ ಸದೃಶೌ

ಬಿಮ್ಬಾದ್ಬಿಮ್ಬಮಿವೋತ್ಥಿತೌ!!"

"ಬಿಂಬದಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲಿಸುವ  ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬದಂತೆ ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಬಾಲಕರೂ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನಂತಯೇ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ!"

ಎಂದು ನೋಡಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಉದ್ಗರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು!!

ಮೊದಲ ದಿನ; ನಾರದರು ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮೂಲರಾಮಾಯಣವನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಬಾಲಕರು ಪೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಾಡಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ಭರತನಿಗೆ ಆ ಬಾಲಕಲಾವಿದರಿಗೆ ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ಸಾವಿರ ಚಿನ್ನದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾರಿತೋಷಕವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲು ಹೇಳಿದ. ಭರತನು ಕೊಡಲು ಹೋದಾಗ ಅದನ್ನು ನಯವಾಗಿ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದರು. ಬಾಲಕರು ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳು  ಹೇಳಿದ-ವನವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ನಮಗೆ ಇದರ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ- ಎಂಬ ಮಾತನ್ನು  ಹೇಳಿದರು. ರಾಮನೂ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅಚ್ಚರಿಗೊಂಡರು.ರಾಮ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಬಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಋಷಿಕುಮಾರರು- ಮಹಾರಾಜ,ಈ ಮಹಾಕಾವ್ಯದ ಕರ್ತೃ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳು.

ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತನಾಲ್ಕು  ಸಾವಿರ ಶ್ಲೋಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಚಿತವಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ಕಾವ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ  ನೂರು ಉಪಾಖ್ಯಾನಗಳು,

ಐನೂರು ಸರ್ಗಗಳು,ಉತ್ತರ ಕಾಂಡವು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಏಳು ಕಾಂಡಗಳಿವೆ.

ಈ ಮಹಾಕಾವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಲು ಇಚ್ಛೆಯಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀನು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಡು.ನಾವು ಹಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ-ಎಂದರು. 

ರಾಮನು ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸಿದನು.

ಮೊದಲದಿನ ಕಳೆಯಿತು...

• The singing of Ramayana by Kusha - Lava. 

• Near the pavilion of the sacrificial ritual 'Ashwamedha ' !

• Infront of Rama. 

• In the presence of Maharshis, scholars and the elders !!

• In the presence of Vedajna ,literature lovers, artists, the art lovers, the warm and kind hearted people whom Rama had invited to listen only this !!

The two boys who sat near the pavilion began to flow ' Ramakatharasa' ,( the nectarine of the story of Rama) the nectar of Ramayana .

The audience who were listening, listened without getting their ears tired.

Those who were watching, watched without getting their eyes tired. 

They hummed. 

Rama himself drowned in the nectar of Ramayana !

Those all who watched exclaimed !!

" Ubhau Ramasya sadrushau

bimabadbambamivothithau !!"

Which means, 

" Both the boys resemble ShreeRama as the reflection reflects from the reflection !"

On the first day ; The boys completed singing the 20 chapters which consisted the 'Moola Ramayana ' ( the original Ramayana) which was narrated by Narada to Valmiki, completely. 

ShreeRama told Bharatha to give 18,000 gold coins to the boys as a present. When Bharatha gave the coins ,the boys rejected them being humble. The boys told him what Valmiki Maharshi had told them. The boys said that there was no need of those coins since they were the inhabitants of the forest. Including Rama everyone got surprised. Rama called the boys and asked them how they got to know about the Ramayana. For which the young sages said that the creator of this epic was the venerable Valmiki Maharshi. They further explains that - " this epic which has been composed with 24,000 verses includes 100 episodes, 500 chapters and there are 7 Kaandas including Uttara Kaanda. If you wish to hear this epic completely then provide us an opportunity, we will sing ". 

For which Rama too agreed. 

The first day passed.
