ಸೈನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಅಶನ-ವಸನ- ವಸತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೂ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾಗದ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನನು ರಾಮನ ಆಣತಿಯಂತೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ.

ಅವನ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಂತೆ ಚತುರಂಗಬಲವು ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗಿತು. 

ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನನು ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಕಾಲ  ರಾಮನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದು ಬಳಿಕ ಲವಣಾಸುರನ ವಧೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಧುವನದತ್ತ ಹೊರಟ.ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಪಯಣದ ಬಳಿಕ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿಗಳ ಆಶ್ರಮವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿದ.

ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಪ್ರಣಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿ ತಾನು ಬಂದ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ. ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳು ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನನನ್ನು ಯಥೋಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಸತ್ಕರಿಸಿದರು. 

ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನನಿಗೆ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳ ದಿವ್ಯಾಶ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡ ದಿವ್ಯವಾದ ಯಜ್ಞೋಪಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅಚ್ಚರಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಅದರ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರು ಕಲ್ಮಾಷಪಾದನ ಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.ತನ್ನದೇ ವಂಶದ ರಾಜನ ಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಧನ್ಯನಾದ ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನನು ಬಳಿಕ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದನು.

ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿ. ಸೀತೆಯು ಅವಳಿ ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಳು.ಸೀತೆಯು ಸೀತಾ

ಮಾತೆ,ಸೀತಮ್ಮಳಾದಳು.

ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅಳು ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನನ ಕಿವಿಗೂ ಬಿತ್ತು.

ಮುನಿಕುಮಾರರು 

ಬಂದು ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳು  ಸೂತಿಕಾಗೃಹಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಮುದ್ದು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ  ಭೂತ-ರಾಕ್ಷಸರುಗಳಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಬಾಧೆಗಳು ಬರದಂತೆ ಆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಾಬಂಧನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದರು.ರಕ್ಷಾವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧ ತಾಪಸಿಯರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾ- ದರ್ಭೆಯ ಕುಡಿಭಾಗಗಳಿಂದ ಮೊದಲು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಜನ ಮಾಡಿ.ಮುಂದೆ ಅವನು 'ಕುಶ'ನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಬಳಿಕ ದರ್ಭೆಯ ಕುಡಿಭಾಗಗಳಿಲ್ಲದ ದರ್ಭೆಗಳಿಂದ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಬಾಲಕನನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಜನ ಮಾಡಿ.ಅವನು 'ಲವ'ನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ-ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಹರಸಿದರು. 

ವೃದ್ಧ ತಾಪಸಿಯರು ಶಿಶುಗಳ ಹೆಸರು ಗೋತ್ರ;

ತಂದೆ-ತಾಯಿಗಳ ಹೆಸರು, ಶಿಶುಗಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಮಾರ್ಜನ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದ ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ.

ಒಡನೆಯೇ ಸೀತೆಯಿದ್ದ ಪರ್ಣಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ- ತಾಯೇ!ಇದು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಮ್ಮ  ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯದ ವಿಷಯವೇ ಆಗಿದೆ- ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ತನಗಾದ ಅತುಲ ಆನಂದವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದನು. ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನ ಮತ್ತೆ ನಿದ್ರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ!!

ರಾಮನ ಇಂಗಿತ ನೆರವೇರಿತ್ತು.

ಸೂರ್ಯವಂಶದ ಕುಶ-ಲವರೆಂಬ ಕುಡಿಗಳು ನಡುವಿರುಳಲ್ಲೇ ಚಿಗುರಿದ್ದವು!

ಮರುದಿನ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ನಾನ  ಸಂಧ್ಯಾವಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಿದ ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನನು ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಅನುಮತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ನೂರ್ಮಡಿ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಧುವನದತ್ತ ಪಯಣಿಸಿ ಏಳನೆಯ ಇರುಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚ್ಯವನ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳ ಆಶ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಕೊಂಡನು. 

ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿ ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡೆಯ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಕಂಡವ ಮೈದುನ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ!

ರಾಮನ ಅವಳಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅಳುವನ್ನು ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದವ ಮೈದುನ ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನ!

ಹೇ ರಾಮ! ನೀನು....

Shatrughna had made all the proper arrangements of sufficient food and accommodation for the soldiers during the time of their stay, as per the command of Rama. 

As per the plan of Shatrughna even the army comprising of four wings marched forward. 

After being with Rama for a month, Shatrughna set off towards 'Madhuvana' for the annihilation of Lavanaasura. After traveling for 2 days he reached the hermitage of Valmiki. He offered his salutation seeing Valmiki Maharshi and told him about the purpose behind his arrival there. Valmiki Maharshi offered a cordial treatment to Shatrughna appropriately. 

Shatrughna got surprised seeing the divine implements of the religious rituals which were there in the divine hermitage of Valmiki Maharshi. When he asked about the history of those implements. Valmiki Maharshi told him the story of Kalmaashapaada . Shatrughna felt satisfied after hearing the story of the king who belonged to his own clan. Later he relaxed. 

In the mid of the night . Seetha begot twin male children. Seetha became Seetha Maatha, Seethamma. The cry of the children was even heard by Shatrughna. The young sages came and informed that to Valmiki Maharshi. Soon after hearing the news, Valmiki Maharshi went to the house where Seetha was in and.           divine thread to the lovely children so that there would not be any trouble from the ghosts and the monsters. He taught the ordinance of the protection to the old ascetic women. He cleansed the first born child with the pointed end of the Darbhe grass. And he blessed the child that it would be known as ' Kusha' in the future. 

Later he cleansed the second born child with the Darbhe grass which did not have the pointed end and blessed the child that it would be known as ' Lava' in the future. 

The old ascetic women cleansed by uttering the names and the descent lineage of the children, the names of the father - the mother and the names of the children. 

Shatrughna who was there itself heard that.

He went to the dwelling ( made of leaves) where Seetha was in, immediately. He expressed his incomparable happiness by saying - " Mother ! Certainly, this is the news of our good fortune ". That night Shatrughna did not sleep again !!

The intention of Rama was fulfilled. 

The kids named Kusha - Lava of the clan ' Sooryavamsha ' had sprouted in the mid of the night itself !

The following day, after taking bath and performing Sandhyavandanam,  Shatrughna travelled towards ' Madhuvana ' with high enthusiasm after taking the blessings and the consent of Valmiki Maharshi. Then on the night of the 7th day, he reached the hermitage of Chyavana Maharshi and stayed there itself. 

The brother in law Lakshmana was the last one who saw the conceived Seetha !

The brother in law Shatrughna was the first one who heard the cry of Rama's twin children !
