"...ನನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಮೇಲೂ ಜೀವಿತದ ಮೇಲೂ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ-ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಮಾತಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಾನಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡಿದ್ದೇ ಆದರೆ,ಅಂತಹವರು ನನಗೆ ಅಭೀಷ್ಟವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಡೆಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುವುದರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಶತ್ರುಗಳೇ ಆಗುವಿರಿ.
ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನಡೆಸು-ಎಂಬ
ರಾಮಾಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ನೊಂದ ಮನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯರೂಪಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದ.ಇದಾವುದರ ಸುಳಿವೇ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಮುಗ್ಧ ಜಾನಕಿ ಸಂತಸದಿಂದ ಸುಮಂತ್ರನು ತಂದ ರಥವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಏರಿದಳು.
ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾನಕಿಗೆ ಅಶುಭಶಕುನಗಳು ಕಂಡವು.ಸಂಶಯಗೊಂಡು ಗಂಡ ಅತ್ತೆಯಂದಿರ ಕ್ಷೇಮವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದಳು.
ರಥ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯಿತು.
ಗೋಮತೀ ತೀರದ ಆಶ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಟ ಇರುಳು ಕಳೆದ ಆ ಮೂವರು ಮರುದಿನ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಪಯಣ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿ ಗಂಗಾತೀರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.ಇನ್ನು ಗಂಗಾತರಣ.
ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಸುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭ.ಗಂಗೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಗಂಗೆಯೂ ಸೇರತೊಡಗಿತು.ಏನೂ ಅರಿಯದ ಸೀತೆ ಆತಂಕದಿಂದ ಕೇಳಲು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಏನಂದಾನು?!
ಸೀತೆಯೆಣಿಸಿದ್ದು ಇಂದಿರುಳು ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ನಾಳೆ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರುವ ಎಂದು! ಆದರೆ...
ಅಂದವಾದ ದೋಣಿಗೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಮೊದಲು ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿಸಿ ಬಳಿಕ ತಾನೇರಿದ.
ಸುಮಂತ್ರನನ್ನು ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿರಲು ಹೇಳಿದ. ಗಂಗೆಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿದರು.
ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನಿಳಿದು ನಡೆದು ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳ ಆಶ್ರಮದ ಪರಿಸರವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿದರು.
ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಮೌನ ಮುರಿದ.
ಕಣ್ಣೀರ ಧಾರೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೈಮುಗಿದುಕೊಂಡು ವೈದೇಹಿಗೆ- ಪ್ರಾಜ್ಞನಾದ ನನ್ನಣ್ಣನು ಲೋಕನಿಂದೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕಾದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮರಣವೇ ನನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಿತ್ತು.ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಡಿಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದಿರುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನದೇನೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಲ್ಲ...-ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
ಗೊಂದಲಗೊಂಡ ಸೀತೆ ಆತಂಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯ ಮಹಾರಾಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಹೇಳು ಎಂದಳು. ತಲೆತಗ್ಗಿಸಿದ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು- ಸಭಾಸದರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾದ ಸುದಾರುಣ ಅಪವಾದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ಸಂತಪ್ತ ಹೃದಯನಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಡಿಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬರಲು ಹೇಳಿ ಅರಮನೆಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು. ಆ ಅಪವಾದವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಾರೆ.ನನ್ನೆದುರೇ ನಿರ್ದೋಷಳೆಂದು ನಿಶ್ಚಿತಳಾದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪೌರಾಪವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆದರಿ ಪರಿತ್ಯಾಗ ಮಾಡಿರುವನು.
ಇದು ರಾಮಾಜ್ಞೆ.
ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾದ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಯಕೆಯೂ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಈ ಆಶ್ರಮದ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ ನಾನು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ.ಇದು ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯವರ ಪರಮಮಿತ್ರ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮರ್ಷಿ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳ ತಪೋವನ.ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಉಪವಾಸಪರಾಯಣಳಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವರ ಪಾದಗಳ ನೆರಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸರೆ ಪಡೆದು ಏಕಾಗ್ರ ಮನದಿಂದ ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸು.ದೇವಿ, ನೀನು ಸದಾ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮನನ್ನೇ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ಯಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಪತಿವ್ರತಾ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರು.ಇದರಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಶ್ರೇಯಸ್ಸುಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. -ಎಂದನು.
ಬಾಯುರಿಯ ಕೆನ್ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಶೋಕದ ವನವಾಸಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿತು.
ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನ ತನಕ ಬಿಡಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಡಿಗಟ್ಟಿದ ಬಾಯಿ ರಾಮನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಅಪವಾದವನ್ನು ಹೊರಿಸಿ ತಾನು ಮಹಾತ್ಮನಾಗಿ ಸುಮ್ಮನಾಯಿತು!

".....I cite by swearing on my feet and on my life that if any one of you say anything to console me while I am speaking, then you will become my enemies by being an impediment for the deed which is my wish. Lakshmana fulfill my words " - Lakshmana with unbearable grief in his heart, brought the command of Rama into the action. The innocent Seetha who had no hint about all these ,got into the chariot which was brought by Sumantra with Lakshmana happily .
Jaanaki experienced inauspicious omens on the way. Being suspicious she enquired about the well-being of her husband and her mother in laws.
The chariot moved on.
The three of them who left the shore of Gomathee in the night stayed there and continued their journey again the following morning and reached the bank of the river Ganga.
Next ,crossing the river Ganga.
It was the time to get Seetha crossed. Along with the Ganga, the tears of Lakshmana too began to flow like the Ganga. What would Lakshmana say, when Seetha who did not know anything ,ask him anxiously ?!
Seetha thought of spending the night there itself and returning the next day ! But...
After elevating Seetha to the beautiful boat ,Lakshmana settled down in the boat.
He told Sumantra to wait in the chariot.
They crossed the Ganga.
After getting down from the boat, they came to the surrounding of Valmiki Maharshi's hermitage on foot.
Lakshmana broke the silence.
Lakshmana with tears in his eyes says to Vaidehi by joining his palms together -
" My brother who is an erudite, has sent me for this deed which is to be subjected to the blame of the world.
Death would have been better for me than this. There is no fault of mine in bringing you to the forest..." - by saying this he fell to the ground.
Seetha who was confused and anxious, being the queen commanded Lakshmana to tell her everything. With his head bent Lakshmana -
" by hearing the blame in your case from the inhabitants, being distressed hearted, Shrirama told me to abandon you in the forest and then he went into the palace. I am not able to tell you what the blame is. He has abandoned you by fearing for the defamation by the citizens.
This is the command of Rama.
This is also the wish of you who is conceived.
Therefore I will take a leave by abandoning you nearby the hermitage. This is the divine forest of Brahmashree Valmiki Maharshi who is the greatest friend of our father. By following the fasting, being sheltered under the shadow of his feet, lead a happy life with a focused mind. Devi , keep practicing the deed of a chaste woman by meditating ShreeRama in the heart always. And that would bring you more prosperity ".
For the blaze of the fire which came out of the mouths, Seetha was sent into the exile of grief again.
It never spare Rama from then till now.
The mouth which sent Seetha to the forest kept quiet being the great one, by imposing the blame on Rama !
