ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಅಪ್ಪನಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ  ಮಗ!ಯುದ್ಧ ತಂತ್ರದಲ್ಲಂತೂ ಅಪ್ಪನ ಅಪ್ಪನೋ ಎಂಬಂತಿದ್ದ!!

ಈಗ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ.ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ!ಹನುಮನೇ ಭ್ರಮಿತನಾಗುವಂತೆ ಇರುವ ಮಾಯಾಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ  ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದ!ಈ ಸಲ ಹನುಮನ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾನರ ಸೇನೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನೆದುರಿಸಿತು.ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಬಾಣಗಳ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು,'ಹಾ ರಾಮ ಹಾ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಾ' ಎಂದು ದಯನೀಯವಾಗಿ ಅಳುವ ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದ! ಹನುಮ ಕಂಡ! 

ತಾನು ಮೊನ್ನೆ ಮೊನ್ನೆ ಕಂಡ ಸೀತಾಮಾತೆ! 

ಇನ್ನೂ ಬಡಕಲಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ!ಜೀವರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಬೇಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.

ರಣರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ತನಕ ಅಳದ ಹನುಮ ಕಣ್ಣೀರ ಧಾರೆ ಹರಿಸಿದ.ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತುವಿನ ಅತಿಹೇಯ ಕೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿದ.ಆದರೇನು? ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನೋಡ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಸೀತೆಯ ಮುಡಿಹಿಡಿದು ಅವಳ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಅವಳ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ರಣರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಸೆದು ಇನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ ಎಂದು ಹಂಗಿಸಿ ಭಂಗಿಸಿ ಗಹಗಹಿಸಿ ನಕ್ಕನು!

ಪಾsssಪ ವಾನರ ಸೇನೆ! ಅತಿಯಾದ  ನೋವಿನಿಂದ ನರಳಿತು.ಪಲಾಯನ ಮಾಡತೊಡಗಿತು. ಹನುಮನು ಅವರನ್ನು ತಡೆದು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಚೋದಿಸಿದ.ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತುವಿನ ರಥವನ್ನು ಪುಡಿಗಟ್ಟಲು ಮಹಾಪರ್ವತವನ್ನೆಸೆದ.ಜಾಣ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ರಥವನ್ನುಳಿಸಿದ.

ಆದರೆ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ರಕ್ಕಸರು ಅದರಡಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಸತ್ತರು. ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತುವಿನ ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ವಾನರರೂ ಸತ್ತರು. ನೊಂದ ಹನುಮನ ತನ್ನ ಸೇನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಯುದ್ಧ ಯೋಜನೆಗಾಗಿ ರಾಮನಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದ.ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ಶತ್ರುಸಂಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು  ನಿಕುಂಭಿಲಾದೇವಿಯ ಮಂದಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು. 

ಹನುಮನು ಅಳುತ್ತಾ ನಡೆದ ದುರ್ಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಅರುಹಿದ. ಹನುಮನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನಂಬದಿರುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಸೀತೆಯ ಹತ್ಯೆಯ ಸುದ್ದಿಯಿಂದ   ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ ದುಃಖ ತಾಳಲಾರದೆ ಎಚ್ಚರದಪ್ಪಿ ಬಿದ್ದ!

ವಾನರಸೇನಾಸಾಗರ ಶೋಕಸಾಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿತು.

Indrajithu was a father's son in every sense ! He was like a father's father in spinning the war strategies !!

He came to battle face to face now . He did not come alone !

He came along with carrying 'MayaSeetha' in his chariot to create an illusion which even made Hanuman to be deluded ! This time the monkey army confronted him under the initiation of Hanuman. Indrajithu with bow and arrows came carrying Seetha in his chariot who was lamenting and calling Rama and Lakshmana helplessly !

Hanuman saw !

Seethamaatha whom he had seen recently !

She had become even more desperate ! She was crying and pleading for the self protection. 

Hanuman shed tears for the first time who had never cried in the battlefield till the day . He condemned the heinous deed of Indrajithu. So what ? As everyone was watching, Indrajithu caught hold of her hair, cut off her head and threw her body in the battlefield. He began laughing by asking and mocking them that whom they would fight for then . He made fun of the monkey warriors !

The poor monkey army ! Suffered from a severe grief . They began to run away. Hanuman stopped them and encouraged them for the war. He threw a huge mountain to crush the chariot of Indrajithu. The clever Indrajithu brought the chariot down . But thousands of monsters died by being crushed under his chariot. 

The apes died because of Indrajithu's arrows. 

The sad Hanuman returned to the place where Rama was in, along with his army to make further war strategies.  Indrajithu went to the temple of Goddess ' Nikumbhilaadevi to perform a special sacrificial ritual for the annihilation of the enemies. 

Hanuman explained Rama the disaster that had happened in the battlefield and shed tears. How could he not believe the words of Hanuman ? ShreeRama fainted and fell unconscious out of grief when he heard the news of Seetha's death !

The entire monkey army drowned in the sea of grief.
