ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ -೧೪೪

 ರಾವಣನಿಗೆ ಏಟಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಏಟು!ಅವನ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ತಲೆಕೆಳಗಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.ನಿರಾಸೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕೋಪ ಭುಗಿಲೇಳುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.ಕೋಪ ವಿವೇಚನೆಯನ್ನು ನಾಶಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

ಕುಂಭ ನಿಕುಂಭರ ಸಾವು ರಾವಣನಿಗೆ  ಇವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ  ತಂದವು.

ಖರಾಸುರನ ಮಗ ಮಕರಾಕ್ಷನನ್ನು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳಿಸಿದ.ಬಲುದೊಡ್ಡ ಸೇನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಣರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದ.ಅಪೂರ್ವ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹವೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು. 

ಆದರೆ ದಾರಿಯುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಅಪಶಕುನಗಳು!

ಈ ಸಲ ಖುದ್ದು ರಾಮನೇ ಮಕರಾಕ್ಷನಿಗೆ ಬಾಣಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಕೋರಿದ.ನಂದಿ ಹೋಗಲಿರುವ ದೀಪ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲಿಸುವಂತೆ ಬಾಯಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲೂ ತುಂಬಾ ಹೋರಾಡಿದ.ಗಗನ ತುಂಬಾ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ಗಂಧರ್ವರು ಋಷಿಗಳು...ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನೋಡನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ರಾಮ ಮಕರಾಕ್ಷನೆಸೆದ ಶಿವನಿಂದ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಶೂಲಾಯುಧವನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿದ, ಪಾವಕಾಸ್ತ್ರದಿಂದ ಮಕರಾಕ್ಷನ ಎದೆಯನ್ನೂ ಭೇದಿಸಿದ!!

ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತುವಿನ ಸರದಿ ಬಂತು!ಈ ಸಲ ರಾವಣನೇ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದೃಶ್ಯನಾಗಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿ ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಲು ಹೇಳಿದ.ಯಜ್ಞಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ವಿಧಿವತ್ತಾಗಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಮ ಮಾಡಿದ.

ಅದೃಶ್ಯವಾಗುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವಿರುವ ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಸರ್ವಶಸ್ತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ,

ಸೇನೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದವನಾಗಿ ರಣರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದ!ಈ ಸಲ ಅದೃಶ್ಯನಾಗಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡೇ ಹೋದ!!ಅವನ ಗುರಿ ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದರು! ಅವನು ವಾನರ ಸೇನಾ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ನಡುವೆ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರನ್ನೂ ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಬಾಣಗಳ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿದ.ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರ ಅಂಗಾಂಗಳು ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದಾದ ಗಾಯಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದವು.

ವಾನರರ ಸಾವಿಗೆ ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದಾಯಿತು.

ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರೂ ಅವನ ಬಾಣಗಳು ಬಂದ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳೆಡೆಗೆ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನೆಸೆದು ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಯಿಸಿದರು.ಸಿಟ್ಟಿಗೆದ್ದ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ರಾಮನಲ್ಲಿ-ಅಣ್ಣಾ ನಾನೀಗಲೇ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಯೋಗಿಸಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ-ಎಂದಾಗ ರಾಮನು ತಡೆದನು.

ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗಾಗಿ ಭೂಮಂಡಲದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಕ್ಕಸರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದು ಉಚಿತವಲ್ಲ ಎಂದನು.ಇಂತಹ ದುಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ರಕ್ಕಸರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಯೆ! (ರಾಕ್ಷಸರಲ್ಲೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ) ಕ್ರೂರವಾದ ಅಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಯೋಗಿಸೋಣ ಎಂದನು.ಜಾಣ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು  ರಾಮನ ಇಂಗಿತವನ್ನರಿತು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು  ಕುತಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಲಂಕೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದನು.

Slap after slap for Ravana ! His plan was being topsy - turvy. His anger was exploding because of disappointments. The anger was destroying his rationality. The death of Kumbha and Nikumbha brought all these to him.

He sent Makaraaksha the son of Kharasura to the battle. He went to the battlefield along with a huge army. He received an amazing support too. But inauspicious omens along the road !

This time Rama himself welcomed Makaraaksha with his arrows. He fought with his mouth and hands as if a light which was about to get extinguished. The sky was full of the Gods, celestial beings and saints. As everyone was watching, Rama tore the weapon Shoolaayudha of Makaraaksha which was given by the lord Shiva to him . Rama split the chest of Makaraaksha with the artillery Paavakaastra !!

Finally it was the turn of Indrajithu ! This time Ravana himself told him to slay Rama - Lakshmana by fighting being invisible. He went to the school of religious rituals and performed the ritual there in fire as per the procedure . He went to the battlefield being well - armed and sitting in the chariot which had the ability of disappearing ! This time he went there being invisible !! Rama - Lakshmana themselves were his target ! He identified Rama - Lakshmana who were there in the amidst of the sea of the monkey army and showered the arrows upon them. Rama - Lakshmana were wounded by the arrows completely. 

There was no count on the deaths of the apes. Rama - Lakshmana too threw the arrows in the same direction where his arrows were coming from and injured him. Rama prevented Lakshmana who was angry, when he said that he would slay Indrajithu immediately by trying out ' Brahmaastra '.

Rama told Lakshmana that, it was not right to kill all the monsters who existed on the earth just for the one. Kindness towards the monsters even in that miserable circumstance ! ( There are also good among the monsters). He said that they would use the most cruelest artilleries. 

The shrewd Indrajithu who came to know about the intention of Rama returned to Lanka to do an evil strategy.
