ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೫೬

ಬಾ ಎನ್ನುವ ಭರತ,ಬರಲಾರೆನೆನ್ನುವ ರಾಮ.ಎರಡು ಸೋದರಪ್ರೇಮಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಹಿಂದೆಂದೂ ನಡೆಯದ ಈ ತನಕ ಮತ್ತೆ ನಡೆದಿರದ ತಿಕ್ಕಾಟ,ತಿಣುಕಾಟ.ನಿಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಮ ಮೇಲುಗೈಯಾಗ ತೊಡಗಿದ.ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದ, ಅದೃಶ್ಯ ರೂಪದ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳು ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥಿಕೆ ವಹಿಸಿ ಭರತನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಅವನ ವ್ರತಾನುಷ್ಠಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡಲು ಹೇಳಿದರು.ರಾಮಾವತಾರದ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಸಫಲತೆಯತ್ತ ಅವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿತ್ತು.ಅಣ್ಣನಪ್ಪಣೆಗೆ ಋಷಿಗಳ ಹಿತವಚನಕ್ಕೆ ಮಣಿಯದೆ ಭರತನಿಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ದಾರಿಯಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.ಆದರೂ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವೆಂಬಂತೆ ಭರತ ರಾಮನ ಕಾಲಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಕೇಳಿದ.ಆಗ ರಾಮನು-

ಚಂದ್ರನಿಂದ ಬೆಳದಿಂಗಳಾದರೂ ಬೇರ್ಪಡಬಹುದು,ಹಿಮವಂತನು ಹಿಮವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಬಹುದು,ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಎಲ್ಲೆಮೀರಿ ಹೋಗಬಹುದು-ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಮಾತ್ರ ತಂದೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞಾ ವಚನವನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ನಡೆಯಲಾರೆನು-ಎಂದು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ವಸಿಷ್ಠರು ಭರತನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮನಿಗಾಗಿ ತಂದಿದ್ದ ಸ್ವರ್ಣ ಪಾದುಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ತರಲು ಹೇಳಿದರು.ಭರತನ ಕೋರಿಕೆಯಂತೆ ರಾಮನು ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನೂರಿದನು.ಬಳಿಕ ಭರತನಿಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನು.ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ದೀರ್ಘದಂಡ ಪ್ರಣಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಭರತನೂ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು - ರಾಮ,ಈ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಾನೂ ಜಟೆ ನಾರುಮಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ, ಹಣ್ಣು ಹಂಪಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೇವಿಸಿ ಜೀವಿಸಿರುವೆನು.ನಿನ್ನ ಆಗಮನವನ್ನೇ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೊರಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವಾಸ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವೆನು.

ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾದುಕೆಗಳನ್ನೇ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ನಾನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಯಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಭಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವೆನು. ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದ ಮರುದಿನವೇ ನಾನೇನಾದರೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಣದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಗ್ನಿಪ್ರವೇಶ ಮಾಡುವೆನು-ಎಂದನು.

ರಾಮನು ಭರತನಿಗೆ ನೊಂದ ಕೈಕೇಯಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ನಡೆದು ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ತುಂಬಿದ ಕಂಗಳಿಂದ,ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಧಾರೆಯನ್ನು ಹರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಬೀಳ್ಕೊಂಡರು.

ರಾಮನು ಅಳುತ್ತಿರುವ ತಾಯಂದಿರಿಗೆ  ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ತಾನು ರೋದನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಪರ್ಣಶಾಲೆಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.

ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಂದವರು ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯತ್ತ ಮರುಪಯಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಪಾssಪ! ಕೈಕೇಯಿ!

ಅತ್ತ ಗಂಡನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಇತ್ತ....

The wish of Bharatha to take Rama back to Ayodhya and the decision of Rama that he would not go to Ayodhya. The strife and the struggle between the two brothers which had never happened before. Gradually Rama gained the upper hand in the argument. The invisible or unseen Maharshis who gathered there acted as negotiators and advised Bharatha to let Rama continue his exile. Their vision was focused on the accomplishment of the purpose of Raamavathaara ( the birth of Rama) . Bharatha had no alternatives. He had to respect and accept the words of Maharshis. The command of Rama and the advise of the Maharshis defeated Bharatha . But still he tried convincing Rama for one last time by falling to his feet. For which Rama stated firmly that,

The moonlight may get separated by the moon, Himavantha may abandon mist, the ocean may go beyond its boundary, but he would not go against the command of his father. 

Vasishta Maharshi asked Bharatha to bring the 'Swarna Paaduka'( the golden holy footwear) which they had brought for Rama. As per the wish of Bharatha, Rama inserted his feet into the holy footwear. Then Rama gave them to Bharatha . Bharatha prostrated to the Paaduka which was touched by the feet of Rama. Bharatha took a vow that he would lead the same life which would be led by Rama for 14 years.  Bharatha pledged that he would wear the barks of tree and get his hair matted and would live by consuming only fruits. He would live outside the kingdom, abandoning the luxurious life of the palace and would be awaiting the arrival of Rama.

Further Bharatha said that he would reign the kingdom as the representative of Rama by placing the 'Paaduka' of Rama on the royal throne and If Rama would not come the very next day of his 14 years of exile then he would surrender himself to the fire.

Rama advised Bharatha to treat and look after Kaikeyee with love ,who had become upset and sad. The tears accumulated in the eyes of everyone.  All bid adieu to one another with teary eyes. Rama fell to the feet of his mothers who were mourning. After taking their blessings he went inside the dwelling of leaves with a heavy heart and by shedding tears.

Those who had come from Ayodhya  , began their journey back to Ayodhya. 

The sinner Kaikeyee became helpless!!

On the one hand lost her husband, on the other hand...
