 ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯನಮ:

ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ -೫೪

ಭರತನಿಗೆ ಪಾದುಕಾ ಪ್ರದಾನ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ನಿಲುವುಗಳಿವೆ.

೧-ರಾಮನು ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಭರತನ ನಿಲುವು

೨-ತಾನು ವನವಾಸ ಮುಗಿಸಿಯೇ ಬರುವುದು ಎಂಬ  ರಾಮನ ನಿಲುವು

ಒಂದನೇ ನಿಲುವು

೧-ಹಿರಿಯಣ್ಣನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ವಂಶ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಂತೆ

 ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರ

೨-ಮಂತ್ರಿ ಮಂಡಲದ ಒಮ್ಮತದ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ

೩-ತನಗೆ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ತನಗಿಷ್ಟ ಬಂದವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವುದು

೪-ಭರತಖಂಡವನ್ನಾಳಲು ತಾನು ಅಶಕ್ತ,ರಾಮನೇ ಸಶಕ್ತ

ಕತ್ತೆ-ಕುದುರೆ,ಗರುಡ-ಇತರ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ತುಲನೆ

೫-ರಾಮನು ಪರಾವಲಂಬೀ ಬದುಕಾದ ವನವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ,ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬೀ ಬದುಕಾದ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಹ

೬-ತಂದೆಯ, ತಾಯಂದಿರ ಸೋದರರ,ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳ ಹೆಬ್ಬಯಕೆ, ಒತ್ತಾಯ

೮-ತಂದೆಯು ನ್ಯಾಯ- ಧರ್ಮ ಬಾಹಿರವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ,ಸತ್ಯಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞ, ಸರ್ವಜ್ಞ ಸಮರ್ಥನೂ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ರಾಮನು ತಿದ್ದಿ ತೋರಬೇಕು.ಆಗ ರಾಮನು ಅಪತ್ಯ- ಸತ್ಪುತ್ರನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ

೯-ಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯರಿಗೆ ತೀರಾ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾದ ವೃತ್ತಿ

೧೦-ತಾನು(ಭರತ) ಹೀನ ಜನ್ಮದವನು

೧೧- ಚಿತ್ರಕೂಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದ್ದು.

There were two determinations while offering the 'Paaduke'( holy foot wears) to Bharatha. 

• The firm stand of Bharatha that Rama should return to Ayodhya. 

• The firm decision of Rama that he would not return to Ayodhya until the completion of his exile. 

The first stand:

1. Rama ,being the elder brother should be coronated as per the tradition and custom of the clan.

2. The unanimous opinion of the council of ministers. 

3. The decision of Bharatha to give his power to Rama since Bharatha had the right to give his power to anyone according to his wish.

4. He considered himself inefficient to rule the kingdom and opined Rama was efficient. The comparisons of donkey - horse , eagle and other birds. 

5. Rama was not suitable for the dependent life of exile. But he was eligible for the independent life of reigning the kingdom. 

6. The wish and the compulsion of the father, the mothers, brothers and the subjects. 

7. The elder son Rama who was a great soul, virtuous ,omniscient, the one who had always been on the path of truth should correct the father when he chose the path of unrighteousness. Then Rama would become a virtuous son.

8. The occupation was too adverse to Kshatriyas.

9. Bharatha considering his birth heinous. 

10. All the people who had come to Chitra Koota shed tears and prayed to Rama.
