ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೪೭

ಕೈಕೇಯಿ ಮಂಥರೆಯರು ಅವರ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಬದುಕಿ ಉಳಿದರು!!

ಭರತನ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ರಾಜನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ದುಃಖ ಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಬಂದವು. ಪಟ್ಟವನ್ನೇರಲು ನೀಡಿದ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳ ಸಲಹೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದನು.ವಂಶಪಾರಂಪರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಹಿರಿಮಗನಿಗೇ ಪಟ್ಟ ಎನ್ನುವ ನಿಲುವಿಗೆ ಅವನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಬದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದನೆಂದರೆ ವಸಿಷ್ಠರ ಆದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನಯವಾಗಿ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದನು.ರಾಮನ ರಾಜ್ಯ ರಾಮನಿಗೆ."ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಕಾಡಿನಿಂದ ಮರಳಿ ಕರೆತಂದು ಅವನನ್ನೇ ರಾಜನನ್ನಾಗಿಸುವುದು, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ಒಪ್ಪದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾನೂ ವನವಾಸಿಯಾಗುವುದು."ಎಂಬ ತನ್ನ ಅಚಲ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಮ್ಮತದಿಂದ ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ಕರೆತರುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.ಭರತನು ವಸಿಷ್ಠರ ಸಲಹೆಯಂತೆ  ವನಯಾತ್ರೆ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೂಕ್ತ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಸಚಿವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದನು.

ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನನ್ನು ಕರೆತರಲು ಭರತನು ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ,ಉಳಿದವರು ದಿವ್ಯ ರಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕುದುರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುಧರಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟರು.ತಾಯಂದಿರೂ ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಿದರು.ಭರತನ ವನಯಾತ್ರೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.

Kaikeyee and Manthare remained alive for each other!!.

The grief and sorrow which were endured by the king transformed to Bharatha. Bharatha denied the suggestion of the minister to ascend the throne. He firmly believed in the custom of the clan that only the elder son should be coronated. He was so much bound to the custom that he even denied the command of Vasishta Maharshi without being harsh and by remembering ShriRama .

Further he stated, the kingdom of Rama belonged to Rama ,and Rama had to be brought back to Ayodhya and he should ascend the throne. He added that in case  Rama would not agree for being the king then he would go to exile in the forest. He declared his firm decision.  Everyone agreed with the decision of Bharatha and made the decision of bringing Rama back to Ayodhya. Bharatha as advised by Vasishta, commanded his ministers to arrange everything for his journey into the forest. Bharatha was in the superior chariot and others were in the finest chariots, horses. The mothers too joined them. Finally the journey of Bharatha into the forest began.
