 ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯನಮ:

ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೧೩೨

ವಾನರರ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಅಂಗಾಂಗಗಳೇ ಆಯುಧ,ಅಸೀಮ ದೇಹಬಲದಿಂದ ಬಳಸುವ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ವಸ್ತಗಳೇ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು.ಮರ,ಬಂಡೆ,ಶಿಖರ...ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದನ್ನು, ಕಿತ್ತು,ಮುರಿದು,ಎತ್ತಲಾಗುವ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಥೇಚ್ಛವಾಗಿ 

ಬಳಸಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ತೊಡಗಿದರು.

ಇತ್ತಂಡಗಳೂ ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಗರ್ಜನೆ ಸಿಂಹನಾದಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕದನಕ್ಕಿಳಿದರು.

ದ್ವಂದ್ವ ಯುದ್ಧಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.

ಭಯಂಕರ ಯುದ್ಧ!

ಸಂಪಾತಿಯು ಪ್ರಜಂಘನನ್ನು,

ಹನುಮನು ಜಂಬುಮಾಲಿಯನ್ನು,

ಸುಗ್ರೀವನು ಪ್ರಘಸನನ್ನು,

ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ವಿರೂಪಾಕ್ಷನನ್ನು, 

ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ಅಗ್ನಿಕೇತು ಮುಂತಾದ ನಾಲ್ವರನ್ನು,

ನೀಲನು ನಿಕುಂಭನನ್ನು,

ಸುಷೇಣನು ವಿದ್ಯುನ್ಮಾಲಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು.

ಅಂಗದನಿಂದ ಪರಾಜಿತನಾದ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ  ಮೇಲುಗೈ ಪಡೆದನು. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಮಾಯಾ ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನು  ಮಾಡಿದ.

ಅವನು ನಾಗಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ತನಕ ಮೇಲುಗೈ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದ ವಾನರ ಪಡೆ ಕಂಗಾಲಾಯಿತು!

ತನ್ನ ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು  ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರನ್ನು ಗಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಮೂರ್ಛಿತರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ವಾನರವೀರರು ಶೋಕಿಸಿದರು.ಆಗ ವಿಭೀಷಣನು ಸುಗ್ರೀವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಪಡಿಸಿದನು.

ಇದರೆಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ಎಲ್ಲೆಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾ ವಾನರ ಸೇನಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಅಧೀರರನ್ನಾಗಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಿದ.ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಎಚ್ಚರದಪ್ಪಿ ಶವದಂತೆ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದ  ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರನ್ನು  ನೋಡಿ ಅವರು ಸತ್ತರೆಂದೇ ಭಾವಿಸಿ ವಿಜಯ ಘೋಷವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಸಂತಸದ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಲು ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದನು.

ರಕ್ಕಸರ ಆನಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾರವಿಲ್ಲ!!

ವಾನರರ ಶೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಎಣೆಯಿಲ್ಲ!!

ಅನುಭವಿ ವಿಭೀಷಣನು ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರ ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪಾಯ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಸುಗ್ರೀವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.ಮಾಯಾಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ  ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ಮಾಯೆಗೊಳಗಾಗಿದ್ದ,ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಸತ್ತರೆಂದು ಭ್ರಮಿಸಿ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸಿದ್ದ!!

ವಿಭೀಷಣನು ಸುಗ್ರೀವನಿಗೆ  ವಾನರವೀರರಿಗೆ ಧೈರ್ಯ ತುಂಬಲು ಹೇಳಿದ.

For the monkeys, their body parts themselves were the weapons and the objects that they got in the nature were their artilleries which they used with their unlimited strength. They indulged themselves in the battle by using whatever they got such as trees , boulders, peaks profusely and the things which could be plucked, broken and lifted . Both the troupes embroiled in the fight by roaring as lions. 

The duel began.

The terrifying war.

Sampaathi slayed Prajanghana,

Hanuman slayed Jambumaali, 

Sugreeva slayed Praghasana,

Lakshmana slayed Viroopaaksha,

ShreeRama slayed Agnikethu and other four,

Neela slayed Nikumbha,

Sushena slayed Vidhyunmaali.

Indrajithu who was defeated by Angada ,got upper hand in the battle at night. For this he adopted ' Maaya yuddha' or fighting through being invisible. 

He got upper hand in the fight until he imprisoned Rama - Lakshmana through 

' Naagabaana' .

The monkey army got disappointed !

The monkeys lamented when Indrajithu hit Rama - Lakshmana through his arrows and made them unconscious. During the time Vibhishana consoled Sugreeva and others.

Amidst of all these ,Indrajithu was throwing arrows from everywhere and trying to make the commanders of the monkey army feeble by hitting them. Indrajithu who saw Rama - Lakshmana lying unconscious on the field as corpses assumed that they were dead and returned to Lanka to convey the happy news of their death to his father by announcing the victory. 

There was no boundary for the happiness of the monsters !

There was no boundary for the grief of the apes !!

The experienced Vibhishana, told Sugreeva that Rama - Lakshmana were out of danger and there was no threat for their lives. Indrajithu who was into the 'Maaya yuddha' ( fighting without being seen) was subjected to the magic . He celebrated with excitement by assuming that Rama - Lakshmana were dead !!

Vibhishana told Sugreeva to encourage and to fill courage in the monkey warriors who had become desperate.
