ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ -೧೧೯

ವಾನರ ಸೇನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಬರುವಾಗ ದಾರಿಯುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ  ಶುಭಶಕುನಗಳು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದವು.ಆಗ ರಾಮನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.ಸಾಗರದ ತಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ವಿಶಾಲ ಸಾಗರವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ರಾಮ ಮತ್ತೆ ಶೋಕಿಸತೊಡಗಿದನು.

ಸೀತೆಯ ವಿರಹ ವೇದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳತೊಡಗಿದನು.ಆಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಮರುಗತೊಡಗಿದನು.

ಅನಂತವಾದ ಆಕಾಶ- ಸಾಗರಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಅಂತರವಿಲ್ಲದಂತನಿಸಿತು.  ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಅಣ್ಣ ರಾಮನನ್ನು  ಮೆದು ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಪಡಸಿ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾವಂದನೆಯತ್ತ ಅವನ ಗಮನವನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದನು.

ಸಂಧ್ಯಾವಂದನೆ!ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯರು ನಮಗಿತ್ತ ಅದೆಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೊಡುಗೆ! ಮನಸ್ಸು ದ್ವಂದ್ವ ತುಮುಲ ಗೊಂದಲಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದಾಗ ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ಪರಿಹಾರ- ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಜೀವನಕ್ರಮ!

ಆಸೆ ನಿರಾಸೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿ ಏಳುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವ ರಾಮ   ಸೀತೆ-ಇಬ್ಬರೂ  ನಮ್ಮ  ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?

ವಾನರರಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದದ್ದು  ಒಂದೇ ಗುರಿ-"ಸುಗ್ರೀವಾಜ್ಞೆಯಂತೆ  ರಕ್ಕಸರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ಕರೆತರಬೇಕು"- ಎಂದು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಾವು ನೋವು, ಸೋಲು ಗೆಲುವುಗಳ ಪರಿವೆಯೇ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.  

ಅತ್ತ  ಲಂಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ  ರಾವಣನು ತನ್ನ ಮಂತ್ರಿ ಮಂಡಲದ ಸಭೆ ಕರೆದು ರಾಮನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನೇನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಂಬುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಲು ಹೇಳಿದನು.ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾವಣನು ಮೂರು ರೀತಿಯ ಪುರುಷರನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದನು-

•ಸನ್ಮಿತ್ರ ಬಂಧುಗಳ ಸಲಹೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ದೈವ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು, ಕಾರ್ಯಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವ ಪುರುಷಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ.

•ತಾನೊಬ್ಬನೇ  ಈ ಮೇಲಣ ಎರಡೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವ ಮಧ್ಯಮ ವರ್ಗದ ಪುರುಷ. 

•ತಾನು ಮಾಡಲಿರುವ ಕಾರ್ಯದ ಗುಣ-ದೋಷಗಳ ವಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡದೆ ದೈವಸಹಾಯವನ್ನೂ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸದೇ ನಾನಿದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಯೇ ಸಿದ್ಧ ಎನ್ನುವ ಮೂರನೆಯ ನರಾಧಮ ವರ್ಗ.

ಇದೇ ರೀತಿ ಸಲಹೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ರೀತಿಯ ಜನರಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದನು.

ರಾವಣನ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಪೀಠಿಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಕ ವಿಭೀಷಣ ಕುಂಭಕರ್ಣರನ್ನುಳಿದು ಮತ್ತೆ ಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಕ್ಕೊರಲಿನಿಂದ  ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು  ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡದೆ ರಾಮನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕುಂಭಕರ್ಣನು ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವುದು ಉಚಿತವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ತಾನು ರಾವಣನ ನಿರ್ಣಯಕ್ಕೆ  ಬದ್ಧನಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದನು.

While Rama - Lakshmana were coming along with the army of monkeys, they experience the auspicious omens throughout the way .

During the time, the mind of Rama was filled with energy and enthusiasm. But when Rama who was standing on the shore of the sea , saw the vast sea which was stretching before him and started grieving again.

He began talking about Seetha's grief of being alone, with Lakshmana. He began to lament for her. He felt as if there was no distance between the infinite sky and the sea. Lakshmana consoled Rama with his soothing words and diverted his mind towards ' Sandhyavandanam '(Practice of offering salutation during the time of Sandhya ).

Sandhyavandanam! The biggest gift that our ancestors had given to us ! This is the unique life style that our ancestors had found as the solution when the mind gets enveloped by chaos, disturbances and confusions !

Aren't both Rama and Seetha our representatives who have been drowning and rising in the expectations and disappointments ?

There was only one aim in the monkeys that they had to take Seetha back by slaying all the monsters as per the command of Sugreeva. They were not worried about their death, pain ,defeat and victory. 

On the other hand, Ravana summoned his ministers for a meeting and asked them to give their advice and suggestions with regard to what he could do in dealing with Rama. During this time ,Ravana mentioned the three kinds of men -

• The man who begins his duty with the help of the god and by taking the advice of the friends and relatives ,is the superior among men.

• The man who does both the duties alone which is mentioned above is the man who belongs to the middle class. 

• The third category of the man is the one who does the work that he has thought of doing at any cost not even  discussing the Pros and cons of the work and without even expecting the help of the god  , is the heinous man among the men .

After listening to Ravana's words of preamble, everyone who gathered there except Vibhishana and Kumbhakarna, in unison suggested Ravana not give up on Seetha and adviced him to battle with Rama . Kumbhakarna opined that it would be better to leave Seetha . But later he said that he would be bound to the decision of Ravana.
