ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೧೦೯

ಮೊದಲ ಸುತ್ತಿನ ರಕ್ಕಸ ಸಂಹಾರದ ಬಳಿಕ ಹನುಮನು ಅಶೋಕವನದ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೇ ಸುತ್ತಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಾದು ಕುಳಿತ.ರಕ್ಕಸರ ಮಾರಣ ಹೋಮದಿಂದ ರಾವಣನ ಕೋಪ ಭುಗಿಲೆದ್ದಿತು.

ಹನುಮನನ್ನೆದುರಿಸಿ ನಿಗ್ರಹಿಸಲು ಮಂತ್ರಿ ಪ್ರಹಸ್ತನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹನುಮನು ರಾಕ್ಷಸರ ಕುಲದೇವತೆಯ ದೇವಾಲಯ ( ಚೈತ್ಯ ಪ್ರಾಸಾದ)ವನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.ರಾವಣನ ಅಹಮ್ಮಿಗೆ ಹನುಮನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ಪೆಟ್ಟು ಇದಾಗಿತ್ತು.ಇದರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಿದ್ದ ರಾಕ್ಷಸರು ಯಮಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿದ್ದರು.ಬಳಿಕ ಆಗಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು- ಮಹಾಬಲಶಾಲಿಗಳಾದ  ಕೋಟಿ ಕೋಟಿ ಕಪಿವೀರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ ಸುಗ್ರೀವನು ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲಿರುವನು- ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದನು.ಆಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಹಸ್ತನ ಮಗ ಶೂರ ಜಂಬುಮಾಲಿಯು ಸೇನಾ ಸಹಿತನಾಗಿ ಬಂದನು.

ಜಂಬುಮಾಲಿಯು ಹನುಮನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾಣಗಳ ಮಳೆಗರೆದರೆ ಹನುಮನು ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ  ಬಂಡೆಯನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಎಸೆದನು, ಸಾಲ ವೃಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಬುಡ ಸಹಿತ ಕಿತ್ತು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು.ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿಂಕರರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಅಗಳಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಜಂಬುಮಾಲಿಯ ಅಂಗಾಂಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತರಿಯದಂತೆ ಪುಡಿ ಪುಡಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂದನು.

ಎರಡನೇ ಸುತ್ತಲ್ಲೂ ಸೋಲು ಕಂಡ ರಾವಣನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳ ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನು ಹನುಮನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಕಳಿಸಿದನು.ಆದರೆ ಆ ಏಳೂ ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸಹಚರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೇವಲ ತನ್ನ ಎದೆ ಕೈ ಕಾಲು ಉಗುರುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಕೊಂದನು.

ಹನುಮನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ರಾವಣನು ಹೆದರಿದ.ಅದನ್ನು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸದೆ ಎದುರಾಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸದೆಬಡಿಯುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಷ್ಣಾತರಾದ  ಐವರು ಸೇನಾನಾಯಕರನ್ನು ಕಳಿಸಿದನು.ಅವರು ಚತುರಂಗ ಬಲ ಸಹಿತ ಬಂದರು.ಹನುಮ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಸುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧನಾದನು.

ಮಹಾಸತ್ತ್ವನಾದ,ಮಹಾಬಲನಾದ,ಮಹಾವೇಗಶಾಲಿಯಾದ,ಮಹಾಕಾಯನಾದ,ಮಹಾಮತಿಯಾದ,ಮಹೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಯಾದ, ಸೂರ್ಯರೂಪನೇ ಆದ ಹನುಮನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರೆಸೆದ ಬಾಣಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಮಿಂಚುಹುಳಗಳಂತೆ ನಿಷ್ಫಲವಾದವು.ಆ ಐವರನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಸೇನೆಯನ್ನೂ ನುಚ್ಚು ನೂರು ಮಾಡಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಸುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಅಶೋಕವನದ ಹೊರಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾದು ಕುಳಿತನು.

After completing the first round of annihilation of the monsters, Hanuman sat waiting at the door of Ashoka Vana for the second round. The annihilation of the monsters made Ravana furious and his anger exploded. He sent the son of his minister Prahastha to confront and defeat Hanuman. But the time he arrived there along with his army ,Hanuman had already destroyed the temple of their clan deity  (Chaitya Praasaada). This was the hard and the biggest blow to the ego of Ravana given by Hanuman. The monsters who were guarding the temple were reached the abode of Yama. Then Hanuman proclaimed standing in the sky that the crores and crores of monkey soldiers who were valiants and who possessed immense strength would come along with his king Sugreeva, Rama and Lakshmana and slay all of them. During the time Jambumaali, the son of Prahastha came there along with his army. 

Jambumaali showered the arrows upon Hanuman, in return to that Hanuman threw the boulders on them and removed tree 'Sala vruksha' from its root and attacked him with that. At last Hanuman killed Jambumaali by smashing his body into dust and made him deformed  with the same iron bolt with which he had killed Kinkaras. Ravana was more furious who was defeated even in the second round, sent the sons of his seven ministers to attack Hanuman. But Hanuman killed all the seven men along with their followers with his chest ,hands , legs and nails.

Ravana was startled by the courage and might of Hanuman. Ravana without expressing his fear, sent five chiefs of the army who were experts in routing the rivals. They came along with the army comprising four wings of elephants,  cavalry,  chariots and infantry. Hanuman got ready for the fourth round. 

The arrows became fruitless just as the glow - worms / fire - flies which burn themselves in fire, that they threw on Hanuman who was so mighty, the swiftest, the gigantic, the wisest, enthusiastic and who had the appearance of Sun. Hanuman smashed all those five chiefs and their troupes to smithereens and then sat waiting at the door of Ashoka Vana for the next round.
