ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿ ನೋಟ-07

ದಶರಥನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪುತ್ರ ಕಾಮೇಷ್ಟಿಯ ಕೊನೆಯ ಹಂತ.ಯಜ್ಞದ ಪೂರ್ಣಾಹುತಿಯಾಯಿತು.ಯಜ್ಞಕುಂಡದಿಂದ ದಿವ್ಯ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನ ಪುರುಷನೊಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾದ.ಆತನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಳೆಹೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಿತ್ತು.ಅದನ್ನು ದಶರಥನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾ- ದಶರಥ ನಾನು ಪ್ರಜಾಪತಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ.ನಿನಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವಂತಹ ದಿವ್ಯವಾದ ಪಾಯಸವು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿದೆ.ಇದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೂವರು ರಾಣಿಯರಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿ ಪುತ್ರರನ್ನು ಪಡೆ- ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅದನ್ನು ದಶರಥನ ಕೈಗಿತ್ತು ಮಾಯವಾದನು.ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾವಿಷ್ಣುವು ತಾನು ದಶರಥನ ಮಗನಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.

ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತಸಗೊಂಡ ದಶರಥನು ಅದನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಸ್ವತಃ ತನ್ನ ರಾಣಿಯರಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿದನು.ಹಿರಿಯಳಾದ ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆಗೆ ಅರ್ಧಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.ಉಳಿದ ಅರ್ಧವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಎರಡು ಭಾಗಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಿ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಸುಮಿತ್ರೆಗೆ ನೀಡಿದನು.ಉಳಿದ ಕಾಲು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆರಡು ಪಾಲು ಮಾಡಿ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೇಯಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತೊಂದನ್ನು ಸುಮಿತ್ರೆಗೂ ನೀಡಿದನು.ಪರಮ ಹರ್ಷಿತರಾದ ರಾಣಿಯರು ಧನ್ಯತಾ ಭಾವದಿಂದ ಆ ಮಹಾ ಪ್ರಸಾದವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.

'Putrakaameshti' which was being performed by Dhasharatha completed successfully. At the same time a man with a divine brightness arose from the 'Yajna kunda'. He had a golden bowl in his hands and it was shining brightly. He handed over the bowl,containing sweet pudding inside it (Payasam)to Dhasharatha and told him that he was the representative of Prajapathi. While giving the bowl he instructed him to share the divine Payasam among his three wives to get male children. Soon after that the man disappeared from there. And it was the same time that Lord Vishnu made the decision of taking birth as the son of Dhasharatha. Dhasharatha was in a complete bliss. He shared the payasam among his three queens. He divided Pasayam into two portions. The eldest queen of Dhasharatha Kausalya received the one half of the portion. Then he divided remaining half portion into two half portions and gave the first half to Sumitre. At last he further divided remaining half portion into two portions and gave a half of the portion to Kaikeyee and another portion agin given to Sumitre. The three queens were in elation and accepted Payasam with the feeling of gratitude.
