ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೩೨

ಪಟ್ಟಾಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನಾಗಿ ರಾಜನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ರಾಜಮಾತೆಯಾಗಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ರಾಮನು ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ದಶರಥನಿತ್ತ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುಬಿದ್ದು ವನವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟಾಗ ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆ ಹತಾಶಳಾದಳು.ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮನಿತ್ತ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿ -ಆ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಂತೆ ಉರುಳಿಹೋಗಲಿ-ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತಾ ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮಂಗಳಕರವಾದ ಶುಭಾಶಂಸನೆಗಳ ಕೆಲವು ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾನು ಮಹಾತಾಯಿ ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆಗೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಘೋರ ಅಪಮಾನವಾದೀತು...

. ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಸತ್ಪುರುಷರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನೇ ಅನುಸರಿಸು.

.ಯಂ ಪಾಲಯಸಿ ಧರ್ಮಂ ತ್ವಂ

ಧೃತ್ಯಾ ಚ ನಿಯಮೇನ ಚ|

ಸ ವೈ ರಾಘವಶಾರ್ದೂಲ

ಧರ್ಮಸ್ತ್ವಾಮಭಿರಕ್ಷತು||

' ನೀನು ಯಾವ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಯಮದಿಂದಲೂ ಪರಿಪಾಲನೆ ಮಾಡುವೆಯೋ-ಅದೇ ಧರ್ಮವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ'- ಧರ್ಮದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಅಚಲ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ!

. ನೀನು ಪೂಜಿಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸದಾ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ.ಸಕಲ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ-ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಪರೋಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಸತ್ಸಂಗದ ಸಲಹೆ!

. ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರಿತ್ತ ಸಕಲ ಮಹಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸದಾ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ.-ರಾಮನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನು ತುಂಬುವುದು.

. ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗಿಡ ಮರಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸಕಲ ಜೀವ-ಜಂತುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ.

. ನಿನ್ನ ವನವಾಸದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ

ನಾನಿಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಯಾವ ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸುವೆನೋ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ.

( ತಾಯಿಯ ಬದ್ಧತೆ)

.ಪರ್ವತ ನದಿಗಳೇ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಸಕಲ ಸ್ಥಾವರ ಜಂಗಮಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ.

.ಭಯಂಕರರಾದ ರಾಕ್ಷಸರು- ಪಿಶಾಚಿಗಳು-ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆದರಿಸದಿರಲಿ.

(ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಮಗುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಲು ತಾಯಂದಿರು ಕಿಚ್ಚಿಗೆ ಹಾಕುವ ಉಪ್ಪು ಸಾಸಿವೆಗಳ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಭಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಬಹುದು)

. ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಶಿವ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಸಕಲ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಮಂಗಳವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ.... ಹೀಗೆ ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತಾ..

.ವೃತ್ರಾಸುರನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದ್ರನಿಗುಂಟಾದ ಮಂಗಳವು ನಿನಗೂ ಉಂಟಾಗಲಿ.

. ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ದಾಸ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಅಮೃತವನ್ನು ತರಲು ಹೊರಟ ಗರುಡನಿಗೆ ತಾಯಿ ವಿನತಾದೇವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮಂಗಳಾಶಾಸನವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

. ಕೊನೆಗೆ-ಆರು ಋತುಗಳೂ, ಏಳು ಸಾಗರಗಳೂ,ಏಳು ದ್ವೀಪಗಳೂ, ನಾಲ್ಕು ವೇದಗಳೂ, ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ಲೋಕಗಳೂ,ಎಂಟು ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳೂ ಶುಭಪ್ರದಗಳಾಗಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಸದಾ ಶುಭಮಂಗಳಗಳನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಲಿ! ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನಾ ರೂಪದ ಶುಭಾಶಂಸನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದಳು.

ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಳಿಸಲಾರದ ಮನದಿಂದ ಕಳಿಸಲೇ ಬೇಕಾದ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯತೆಯಿಂದ ಮಗ ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿದಪ್ಪಿ-

"ಪುತ್ರ ರಾಮ ಸಿದ್ಧಾರ್ಥೋ ಗಚ್ಛ ಯಥಾ ಸುಖಮ್"-

ಮಗು!ರಾಮ! ನಿನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥವು ನೆರವೇರಲಿ; ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾ!- ಎಂದು ಹರಸಿದಳು.ರಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಪ್ರದಕ್ಷಿಣೆ ಬರಬೇಕಾದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳ ಭಾವನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ಮನದಲ್ಲೇ ಪ್ರದಕ್ಷಿಣೆ ಬಂದರೆ,ತಾಯಿ ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆಯು  ರಕ್ಷಣಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಮಗ ರಾಮನಿಗೆ  ಪ್ರದಕ್ಷಿಣೆ ಬಂದು ಹರಸಿದಳು.

ಮಗನೋ!ದೇವನೋ!?

ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆಯ ಈ ಶುಭಾಶಂಸನೆಗಳು ಆಕೆಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವದ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲವೇ?

ಇಂತಹ ಮಹಾಮಾತೆಯ ಮಗನಾದುದರಿಂದಲೇ ರಾಮ ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಮನಾದ!

ಪರಮಗುರು ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯರ 'ಕುಪುತ್ರೋ ಜಾಯೇತ ಕ್ವಚಿದಪಿ ಕುಮಾತಾ ನ ಭವತಿ!'( ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮಗನಾದರೂ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಯಾನು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ತಾಯಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಲಾರಳು ) ಎನ್ನುವ ಮಾತು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸತ್ಯ!

ಆದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮಗ!

ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸದಾನಂದವನ್ನೀಯುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವ  ರಾಮನ ಜನನಿ ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ನಮನಗಳು.

Kausalya was in despair seeing her son Rama who was about to leave for Dandakaaranya by obeying the command of his father. At the end she trusted his words( which was mentioned in the previous chapter)and blessed him and prayed god to pass 14 years fast fast. Kausalya poured good thoughts into the minds of her son before his departure .The advise and the blessings of Kausalya must be highlighted here or else it would be an insult to the great mother.  She adviced Rama :

• To always follow the path of righteousness and always to be the man of virtues. 

• "Yam paalayasi dharmam tatwam ,        drutya cha niyamena cha                         Sa vai Raghavashaardoola  Dharmastwaamabhirakshathu ".

Which means , let Rama be protected by the religion that he followed and safeguarded  courageously - The eternal faith in righteousness. 

• She prayed, let Rama get the blessings of all the gods that he worshipped and blessings of the Maharshis who he had always been with. He was given the spiritual advise indirectly. 

• Let Rama always be safeguarded by all the artillery that he had received from Vishwamitra . She was boosting the confidence in Rama.

• Let he be protected by all the living creatures including plants and trees of the forest. 

• Let him be protected by all the gods that she would worship during the time of his exile -> The commitment of a mother. 

• Let the mountains, rivers and many other living and non living things protect Rama.

• Let him not be startled by the hedious monsters ,demons and wild beasts. (It reminds of a mother who wards off evil eyesight from her child).

• Let Rama be blessed with prosperity by Brahma,  Vishnu, Shiva and other gods.

• Further she blessed him that,  Let Rama be bestowed with all the fortunes and good luck in the same way how Indra had gained during the time of slaying Vruthasura. 

• Rama was blessed auspiciously by Kausalya in the same way how Garuda was blessed by his mother Vinathaa devi when he was going to bring nectar to emancipate his mother from slavery. 

• She prayed and blessed him to be protected by 6 seasons, 7 rivers, 7 islands, 4 vedas ,14 worlds and 8 directions.

At the end, when Rama was about to leave, she embraced him in her arms tightly and recited , 

" Putra Rama, Siddhartho Gachha yatha ,sukham". Which means , Let all his wishes and desires be accomplished, with these words she blessed Rama. During the time of circumambulating his mother, he circumambulated his mother in his mind and soul, so that her feelings would not be hurt. On the other hand, being a mother Kausalya blessed him by circumabulating son Rama for his well- being. 

Is he a son or a God!? 

         

The positive words of Kausalya to her son, mirrors her uncommon personality. 

Being the son of the greatest mother, he has been admired by the world. 

The lines of the great Guru Shankaraachaarya are so true,where he stated ' Kuputhro Jaayetha Kwachidapi Kumathas na Bhavathi !' (Which means ,a bad son may born but a bad mother will never born). But here both the mother and the son are unmatched. In other words a divine son for a devine mother!.

I bow down with all the respect to the extraordinary mother of the extraordinary son Rama who has been spilling and spreading happiness in the world. 🙏
