ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೨೨

ಸೀತಾ ರಾಮರ ಮದುವೆಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ಕರೆಯ ಒಸಗೆಯೊಡನೆ ಬಂದ ಜನಕರಾಜನ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ಜನಕನ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಗೌರವಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.ದಶರಥನು ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ವಸಿಷ್ಠ ವಾಮದೇವರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಚಿವರೊಡನೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ ಮದುವೆಗೆ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸಿದನು.ಬಂದ ರಾಜಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಮಾನಿಸಿ ಬೀಳ್ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

ಮರುದಿನವೇ ದಶರಥನು ಗುರುವೃಂದ, ಚತುರಂಗಬಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬಂಧು ಬಾಂಧವರೊಡನೆ ಮಿಥಿಲೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟನು.ಮಿಥಿಲೆಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದ ದಶರಥ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವನ ಪರಿವಾರವನ್ನು ಜನಕನು ಅದ್ದೂರಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಸಂಮಾನಿಸಿದನು.ಜನಕನು ಸಾಂಕಾಶ್ಯಾನಗರಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಶಧ್ವಜನನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.

ಜನಕನ ಆಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡೂ ಕಡೆಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖರು ಆಸೀನರಾದರು.ವಸಿಷ್ಠರು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ ನಿಂದ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯ ಮೊದಲ ರಾಜ ಇಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕುವಿನಿಂದ ದಶರಥನ ತನಕವಿರುವ ವಂಶ ವಿವರಣೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿ ದಶರಥನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿ ಜನಕನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಮಗಳಂದಿರನ್ನು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ವಿನಂತಿಸಿದರು.

ಜನಕನು ನಿಮಿಯಿಂದ ತೊಡಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಹಾಗೂ ತನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಶಧ್ವಜನ ವರೆಗಿನ ತನ್ನ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದನು.ಬಳಿಕ ಸೀತಾ ಊರ್ಮಿಳೆಯರನ್ನು ರಾಮ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರಿಗೆ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುವ ನಿರ್ಣಯ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು.ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರು ಕುಶಧ್ವಜನ ಮಗಳಂದಿರಾದ ಮಾಂಡವಿ ಶ್ರುತಕೀರ್ತಿಯರನ್ನು ಭರತ ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನರಿಗೆ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುವ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಂತಸದಿಂದ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.ಅಂತೂ ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ನಡೆದಿಲ್ಲ ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆಯದು ಎನ್ನುವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀತಾ ರಾಮರ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣೋತ್ಸವ ನಡೆಯಿತು.ಇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ- ಊರ್ಮಿಳೆ,ಭರತ-ಮಾಂಡವಿ, ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನ- ಶ್ರುತಿಕೀರ್ತಿರ ಮದೆವೆಗಳೂ ವೈಭವದಿಂದ ನಡೆದವು.ದಶರಥ-ಜನಕರ ಆನಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾರವೇ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಾಯಿತು.

ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರ ಆಶಯ ಈಡೇರಿತು.ಜನಕ-ದಶರಥರ ಅನುಮತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಹಿಮವತ್ಪರ್ವತಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿದರು.ರಾಮಾವತಾರದ ಉದ್ದೇಶದ ಈಡೇರಿಕೆಗೆ ಭದ್ರಬುನಾದಿ  ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರರ ಯಜ್ಞರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಲ್ಲವೇ?

ಎಷ್ಟಾದರೂ ರಾಮನು ವಿಶ್ವಾಮಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರಿಯಕರ ರಾಮ-ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?

The representatives of the king Janakaraja came to Ayodhya along with the invitation  and to convey the message of Janaka with honor and respect. After discussing the matter with his Guru Vasishta, Vamadeva and other ministers,  Dhasharatha gave his consent for the marriage of Rama and Seetha. Dhasharatha sent his guests off after offering them hospitality. The following day Dhasharatha along with his Gurus ,army and family went to Mithile for the further discussions of the marriage. Janaka had also invited his brother Kushadwaja who was residing in the city Saankyashya .

The chiefs of both the families seated in the royal court of Janaka to exchange words regarding the marriage. Vasishta presented the detailed explanation about the histrory of the Ikshvaku clan, starting from Brahma and Ikshvaku who was the first ruler of the clan till Dhasharatha. After introducing Dhasharatha, Rama and Lakshmana Dhasharatha requested Janakaraja to marry his daughters off (Seetha and Urmila) to Rama and Lakshmana.  Later Janaka explained about his clan in detail, starting from Nimi to Kushadwaja.  After that he gave his approval to marry his daughters  Seetha and Urmila off to Rama and Lakshmana. In the same occassion Vishwamitra alluded the proposal of marrying the daughters of Kushadwaja named Shrutha Keerthi and Maandavi off to Bharatha and Shatrugna which made everyone happy. Finally the wedding ceremony of Rama and Seetha performed with much pomp that no one had ever witnessed such kind of grand wedding before and no one would ever witness after. Along with the marriage of Rama and Seetha,  the marriage of Lakshmana- Urmila, Bharatha - Maandavi  and Shruthakeerthi- Shatrugna performed in a splendid way. Dhasharatha and Janakaraja was in the state of elation .

Finally the wish of Vishwamitra was fulfilled. After taking the consent of Janaka and Dhasharatha he left for the Himalayan Mountains. 

Safeguarding the sacrificial ritual was the strong foundation for the fulfillment of the purpose of 'Raamaavathaara', wasn't it?

After all Vishwamitra was very fond of Rama.
