ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೨೦೪

ಭರತನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ತಕ್ಷ  ಪುಷ್ಕಲರಿಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಅಂಗದ ಮತ್ತು ಚಂದ್ರಕೇತು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಲು ನಿಶ್ಚಯಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮಂದಿರ ಸಲಹೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.ಆಗ ಭರತನು ಅಂಗದನಿಗೆ ಕಾರುಪಥವನ್ನೂ,ಚಂದ್ರಕೇತುವಿಗೆ ಮಲ್ಲದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಒಪ್ಪಿದರು.ಕಾರುಪಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಗದೀಯಾ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂಗದನನ್ನು ರಾಜನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಿ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು  ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಮಲ್ಲದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ  ಚಂದ್ರಕಾಂತ ನಗರವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಚಂದ್ರಕೇತುವನ್ನು ರಾಜನನ್ನಾಗಿಸಿ ಪಟ್ಟಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ಭರತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕಳಿಸಿದನು. ಭರತ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಕಾಲ ಕುಮಾರರೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದು ಬಳಿಕ ಅಣ್ಣನತ್ತ ಧಾವಿಸಿದರು.

ಸ್ವಂತ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನಾದರೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇದ್ದಾರು ಅಣ್ಣ ರಾಮನನ್ನಲ್ಲ! ಎನ್ನುವ ಅಪೂರ್ವ ಸೋದರ ಪ್ರೇಮ ಆ ಸೋದರರದು!

ರಾಮ ಭರತ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣರು ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಿತವಾಗುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ,ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸದಾ ಮಗ್ನರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.ಹೀಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕಳೆದು ಹೋದವು! 

ಹೀಗಿರುತ್ತಾ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಕಾಲಪುರುಷನು ತಪಸ್ವಿಯ ವೇಷವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನ ಅರಮನೆಯ  ಮಹಾದ್ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು.ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ಅತಿ ಅಗತ್ಯದ ಕಾರ್ಯದ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬೇಕು ಎಂದನು. ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನು ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನ ಅನುಮತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಅವನನ್ನು  ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದನು. ಋಷಿಯೋಗ್ಯ ಸತ್ಕಾರದ ಬಳಿಕ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ತಪಸ್ವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ ಕಾರಣವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಆಗ ಆ ತಪಸ್ವಿಯು ಏಕಾಂತ ಭೇಟಿಯನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿ;ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಘ್ನ ತರುವವರಿಗೆ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಶರತ್ತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದನು.ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನಲ್ಲಿ- ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ! ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ನೀನೇ ಆ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿರು.ನಾವಿಬ್ಬರು ಮಾತಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೋ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾರೋ ಅಂತಹವನು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ವಧಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಇದು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯಾಗಿದೆ- ಎಂದನು.

After coronating Thaksha and Pushkala, the children of Bharatha, ShreeRama decided to coronate Lakshmana's children Angada and Chandrakethu . He asked the advise of his brothers regarding coronating them. During the time Bharatha suggested ' Kaarupatha' to Angada and the country ' Malla' to Chandrakethu for which everyone agreed happily. By building the town ' Angadeeya' in Kaarupatha, ShreeRama coronated Angada as its king and sent him there along with Lakshmana. By building ' Chandrakaantha ' town in the country Malla ,Rama coronated Chandrakethu as its king and sent him there along with Bharatha. Bharatha and Lakshmana spent a year with the children and then returned to their elder brother. 

They may live without their own children, but not Rama ! Such kind of unprecedented brotherly love was there among the brothers !

Rama, Bharatha and Lakshmana always engrossed themselves in the religious deeds and in the deed which were good for the citizens. Ten thousand years elapsed in this way !

During this time, one day Kaalapurusha( fate) came to the great entrance of ShreeRama's palace in the disguise of an ascetic. He told Lakshmana that he wanted to see ShreeRama since there was something important to discuss with him. Lakshmana with the consent of ShreeRama, brought the man before ShreeRama. After treating him respectfully with the suitable hospitality which should be given to an ascetic, ShreeRama asked him the reason for his arrival. During the time the ascetic wished to have a secret meeting with him and further asked Rama to give a capital punishment to those who would be an impediment to their meeting. ShreeRama agreed to his condition. ShreeRama calls and says to Lakshmana - 

" Lakshmana ! Stand in the position of the guard by sending him out. Whoever hears what we speak, they will be slayed by me. This is my vow ". As per the command of the king ,Lakshmana stood there watching over.
