ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಹಕ್ಕಿನೋಟ-೩೯

ದಣಿದು ಮಲಗಿದ ಪೌರರು ಬೆಳಗಾದಾಗ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತರು.ನೋಡ್ತಾರೆ!ರಾಮನಿಲ್ಲ,ರಥವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ!ರಾಮನ ಸುಳಿವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ! ಮುಂದಿನ ದಾರಿ ತೋಚಲಿಲ್ಲ.ಭಾರವಾದ ಮನಗಳಿಂದ ಚಂದ್ರನಿಲ್ಲದ ಆಗಸದಂತಿರುವ, ನೀರಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಡಲಿನಂತಿರುವ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯತ್ತ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಾಕತೊಡಗಿದರು.

ದಶರಥನಿಂದ ಉಪೇಕ್ಷಿತಳಾದ, ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ರಾಮನ ವನವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣಳಾದ ಕೈಕೇಯಿಗೆ ಅವರಿವರೆನ್ನದೆ ಈಗ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪುರಜನರದ್ದು ಹಿಡಿಶಾಪ! ಪಟ್ಟವೇರಲಿರುವ ಭರತನ ತಾಯಿ ಎಂದರಿತರೂ ಅವರ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ತಣಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.ಪ್ರಾಯಶ: ಅವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭರತನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವದ ಅರಿವು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.ರಾಮನನ್ನುಳಿದ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಗೆ ಅವನೂ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸಲಾರನೆಂಬ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಅವರಿಗಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ.ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಪುತ್ರ ವಿಯೋಗದ ಸಂಕಟವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಇತ್ತ  ರಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಜನರು ತನ್ನ ವನವಾಸದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಟೀಕೆ ವಿಮರ್ಶೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾ ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ವೇದಶ್ರುತಿ,ಗೋಮತೀ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಯಂದಿಕಾ ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿ ದೇವಗಂಗೆಯ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೇ ಇರುಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆಯಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದನು.ಕಂಡ ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೇ ಆನಂದವನ್ನೀವ ಗಂಗೆಯ ಮಡಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ತಂಗಿದರು.

 ಶೃಂಗಬೇರಪುರ ಗಂಗಾತಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಒಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯ.ಅದರ ರಾಜ ಗುಹ.ಅವನು ನಿಷಾದಾಧಿಪತಿಯೂ ಹೌದು.ರಾಮನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಒಸ್ನೇಹಿತ.ರಾಮಾಗಮನದ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಕೇಳಿ ಸಂತಸದಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಪರಿವಾರ ಸಹಿತ ರಾಮನಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು."ನಿನಗೆ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆ ಬೇರೆಯಲ್ಲ ಶೃಂಗಬೇರಪುರ ಬೇರೆಯಲ್ಲ.ಇದು ನಿನ್ನದೇ ರಾಜ್ಯ.ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು"ಎಂದು ಗುಹನು ರಾಮನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದನು.

ರಾಮನು ಗುಹನನ್ನು ಆಲಂಗಿಸಿ ಬಳಿಕ ಆತನ,ಆತನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸಕಲ ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದನು.ಬಳಿಕ ತನ್ನ ವನವಾಸ ವ್ರತವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನ ಕುದುರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನಿತ್ತರೆ ಸಾಕು ಎಂದು ಅವನು ತಂದ ವಿವಿಧ ತಿನಿಸುಗಳನ್ನು ನಯವಾಗಿ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದನು.ರಾಮಪರಿವಾರ,ಗುಹನ ಪರಿವಾರ ಅಂದಿರುಳು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ತಂಗಿದವು.

The subjects of Rama woke up in the following morning, who had fell asleep being tired and their eyes started searching for Rama. But neither Rama was there nor his chariot. The people got disappointed without realizing which way he had gone. With heavy hearts ,they all started walking back towards Ayodhya which had become the sky without the moon and the ocean without water.

Kaikeyee was disregarded by Dhasharatha. All the inhabitants of Ayodhya cursed Kaikeyee for being the reason for the exile of their beloved Rama. The subjects could not control their anger towards Kaikeyee, though they knew she was the mother of Bharatha who was about to get coronated .

Perhaps, the people might have been aware of the nature of Bharatha and they had a strong belief that even Bharatha would not agree to accept Ayodhya without Rama.  The women of Ayodhya were suffering from the pain of being separated from their sons.

On the other hand, Rama was moving forward in his chariot by hearing the criticisms and assessments about his exile from the people of his kingdom. Rama crossed the rivers Vedashruthi, Gomathee and Syandikaa and continued his journey.  He reached Devagange and decided to spend the night on the second day on the shore of Devagange.  They took shelter in the region of the sacred Ganga which enchants everyone. 

There was a kingdom called Shrungaberapura ,situated in the region of Ganga. It was ruled by the king named Guha who was also the king of hunters. He was the dearest friend of Rama. The news of Rama's arrival excited Guha and he was overjoyed. Guha came to the place where Rama had stayed in ,along with his family . Guha told Rama to feel comfortable in Shrungaberapura and to feel as if he was in Ayodhya. He requested Rama not to defferentiate between Ayodhya and Shrungaberapura and told him to feel both Ayodhya and Shrungaberapura were one and the same. Further Guha requested Rama to command the things which had to be done. 

Rama was happy to see Guha . He embraced Guha and enquired about the well-being of his kingdom. Later he explained him about his exile and told Guha that it would be a great help if Guha provided food for Rama's horses. Rama did not ask Guha more than that .He did not even accept the varieties of food and fruits that Guha had brought for him. Rama and Guha along with their families stayed there itself on that night.
